Beards were popular during the 1800s, but since then they were seen as unprofessional and unacceptable until recently. Just look at US presidents went from beards in the late 1800s to mustaches in the early 1900s to clean shaven since then

Clean shaven guys don't sit right with me, there's a reason devil characters are usually have clean faces, or, at most, just a little goatee.

I have a beard yes. Guys used to be all clean shaven and thought beards were scruffy when I had one and they didn't growing up. Now almost every guy I see has one. Now all I need to do is wait for long hair on guys to be in fashion and I'll be a trend setter.

I remember in older 80/90s movies a "5 o'clock shadow" always mean the character was unkempt.

There are a lot of goofy looking dudes walking around without beards that really should have one to cover their ugly mug

I dislike facial hair

Men have so few fashion/appearance options compared to us women. I feel sorry for them. I say bring crazy facial hair back! I want to see all those curly moustaches and stuff. It's fun and it shows character.

Now, as a woman who knows women, I've heard more of them complain about how much they hate facial hair because of how it feels when they kiss them or how gross it is when food gets in there - but that just sounds like straight gal problems lol

Once it gets a bit longer it gets better, especially if you take care of it, but yeah it's pretty itchy for a while

Its only itchy when youre growing it for the first time.

I used to hate not being clean-shaven. Now, the older I get, my face looks wrong without a beard. Not really my choice but it is what it is I guess.

Also, if your facial hair is itchy then you're not taking care of it. Use a good stubble moisturizer, beard balm, beard oil, softening cream, and wash it daily with a good shampoo and conditioner. You need to actually take care of it.

I definitely do not look better with a beard.

My face feels so much grosser when I have a beard, no matter what I do to clean it. Then after I shave it off I stop feeling gross.

To be fair, I have never once progressed past the stubble phase.

Having eczema and overall sensitive skin probably doesn't help.

Saying you wear a goatee is such a weird way to say that
