I mean, he is being ultra theatrical and it is coming off a big ridiculous, but it's actually pretty consistent with everything he's done since he's been a member of the TKO Board. I actually don't mind it overall. He's viewing himself as this ultra mythical badass who is "beyond this all" and is actually playing it up so well.

Cody will never be heel. Hah but Cena doing it makes more sense in that he retiring I guess. I have to look at the dirt sheets for this mix up.

I think it makes sense. Cena is on his final run, and he wants to go out on a high note by getting title run #17, but he also clearly doesn't have it in the ring anymore. I mean, dude lost to Solo Sikoa and Austin Theory in the past few years! So it could easily be justified as Cena wanting to win by any means necessary, and The Rock was willing to help anyone who sold their souls to him. Plus, Cena doesn't have to hold the title for very long; run to SummerSlam, have him lose, and then end on a redemption arc.

Pretty much buddy. A lot of Cena's title runs are from back when a title would change hands at every ppv.

I don't know what Cenas timeline is on this run, but it would be super dope if he won it at WM or SummerSlam, then feud with face Punk for the WM main event title match that soured Punk in the first place.

Also, can't wait to see what Cena's heel theme would be. Apparently he had worked on one many years ago but the heel turn never happened...until last night

Cody has been heel before, so he can do it again.....and probably will. The nonsense of "he can't be heel" needs to stop.
