This is pretty much it. I think across all movies the budget sums up to less than $15 mil.

You know, at least the actors and production crew get a paycheck. Speaking of those, I remember seeing a clip of Ray Wise at some convention doing a Q&A and he said something like "Yeah I was in a couple of GND movies. Don't hold it against me" in a joking way.

These. Christians love to throw their money at anything that strongly espouses "Christian values", no matter what the quality of said media is.

If these movies took place in countries that actually persecuted Christians, they'd be scared shitless. Instead they live where they're the persecuters, so they gotta make stuff up.

I still remember the third movie where a guy literally said "Jesus was the original Social Justice Warrior", and I still wonder who exactly that line was made for since its audience is going to hate anything SJW.

Didn't know they made a 5th one. Heard the 3rd isn't that bad because it didn't have the dishonest strawman arguments and "athiest who just hates god" like the first two. Of course, they then doubled down in part 4.

The third one also has a pretty decent life lesson as well "Not all battles are worth winning for." I did enjoy that the third movie didn't end in a typical "Christian winning" way and the Reverend was able to find a middle ground of having a church near by the College Campus instead of being on it. I really wish the God's not Dead movies would aim to be like that, but the core audience hated the movie (hence why the fourth one goes back to it's original roots of atheists strawmans) and everyone else just dismissed it hence why it performed badly at the BO. It's still not a good movie, but I will give a movie kudos for trying to do something different. I'm still rooting for good Christian movies, but they really really need to stop preaching to the choir as their first step.

I have never seen any of them but I have seen reviews and retrospectives on YouTube analyzing the series. The 5th one went off the rails and got full on political. The others had politics in them, but this one is literally about a Christian running to be I think a senator. He's asked to run to defeat a rival who is an atheist that wants to destroy Christianity in America. Of course

Also I remember the trailer for the movie showed people waving US flags and crowds that looked like Jan 6th rioters
