I have a feeling he might win in a poll of favorite actor from those movies. Didn't Jurassic 1 kinda turn him into a star, he was relatively unknown?

I remember him from some 80's Sleepy Hollow movie.

I would say Nedry and Hammond are more memorable characters.

Samuel L Jackson is. But obviously not for his actual character in JP.

Goldbloom's Malcolm was so popular Crichton literally resurrected him from the dead for the second book. The same cannot be said for John Hammond.

I wouldn't say he was an unknown as he was amazing in The Fly but JP made him huge for a little while.

I'm partial to the 1994 vehicle Nine Months myself. You got Hugh Grant, Julianne Moore, Jeff Goldblum, Robin Williams, Tom Arnold, Joan Cusack.

Funny ass movie, but the reviews look dicey. Haven't seen it since I was a kid. Robin Williams as the Russian doctor was funny as balls.

No, it was always going to be Wayne Knight, but I'm also a huge Newman fan so I'm a little bias.

No, it would either be Raiders or Jaws. Though Goonies could be considered as well.

And don't forget that he put out Schindler's List the same year as JP. That's a phenomenal back to back in the same year. Off the top of my head, that's the best back to back in the same calendar year.

It's funny because, even though I don't like The Lost World or any of the JP sequels, I often cite Ian Malcolm as a great example of character development in between movies; his personality almost completely (and believably) changes as a direct result of the events of the first movie.
