Maybe you should've taken into account that 11 year-old me was stupid and was stuck on that level for like a week. Then again, I also got stuck on Crazy Gadget for the longest time because of the gravity room. Also got stuck at Cannon's Core because I didn't get the Aqua Necklace and the drowning music freaked me out.

I was really bad at that game.

i was 6 when it got released on dreamcast. security hall was not an issue at all for me personally (i did the safe opening bug on accident)

i remember being stuck on a lot of hard modes because i never thought to use the glasses to find invisible springs. i ended up using glitches to do most of the hunting hard modes like egg quarters (usually a joke level)

The thing about Hard Modes is... they were actually easy. The locations of the collectables were always in the same locations every time.

the hard modes are jokes, yes. as a kid i was just too clueless to consider using the treasure lenses to make springs visible. most of the missions can be brute forced through precision or glitches so i legitimately thought that i was doing missions correctly so i just assumed it was an unnecessary tool

Why the hatred for the mech levels? A couple of their levels have annoying parts in them, but over-all I actually enjoyed the concept. The combo system was also fun - trying to lock onto more targets before firing.

The treasure hunting was the worst part of the game.
