You don't have to go to subsaharan Africa to find someone who hasn't heard of them. And hell, if you go into a room with 100 people in it and ask "who here likes Metal Gear Solid/They Might Be Giants" you'll get like twenty hands. Fine. Whatever. But you're also not a frickin yellow cardinal. People aren't driving from thousands of miles to watch They Might Be Giants fans shitting in some old lady's back yard. The Spanish aren't slicing their way through the jungle to find the golden city of They Might Be Giants fans. You're not in witness protection because because you know triangle man beats particle man. It's not some niche thing.
