They are cowards in general. This is a fuckin world with like 20 different bizarre fantasy species and the MC is the most average Japanese high school boy looking mother fucker I've ever seen. This includes games where the protagonist is a literal Japanese high school boy.

And he wants to be king! That was the hardest part for me to swallow.

That said, this was a fantastic game. Finished it over the break. Unlike Persona games, it had me hooked all the way through.

Louis was a good villain and the supporting cast had great stories to tell as well.

I really wish they made a cheap abundantly available means of restoring MP that you could use at Magla hollows. Instead I have to do this.

>Stun enemy & start squad battle
>Steal rare item because why not
>Plunder magic 6 times
>Use last action crystal to escape while the enemy is still stunned
>Repeat until everyone has full mp again

I just finished the 4th (?) dungeon, which was the longest and most annoying one so far. There was like a 2 hour gap between hallows and I was starving for MP and didn't have a lot of items to refill them. I was annoyed that I had to burn an extra day just for the boss fights by itself.

Other than that slight annoyance though I'm having a blast with it. I do feel like my Archetypes aren't as leveled as they probably should be because I did a lot of switching around in the early game instead of locking in on certain ones

The higher level the enemy the more MP you get. The guys I'm fighting now are letting me steal 11-12 mp at a time.

What make this OP is that all of the ingredients are easy to buy in shops and that cooking can be done in bulk. Happiness is having more party-wide MP restores than you can possibly use.

Just put this Wizard passive skill on:

Combine it with anything that gives you a stat buff at the beginning of a battle (like one of the Knight passives) and then just pass turns on a weak enemy, escape the battle before it's the enemy's turn, rinse, repeat

The golden teeth was a little more than money it was also giving me 500 AEXP per battle that took almost no effort. Faker + General solo.

Even after it turned blue I was still getting 300 AEXP.

I just wanted to grind general to 15 to finish the seeker research quest mostly. This was a fun way to make asstons of money in the process.

When a character masters an archetype, stick with it for generic battles. They gain "levels" and each level is always 1000 AEXP at that point and each level you get a hero's leaf of light which is like 1000 aexp which helps greatly in archetype leveling.

You would thinking changing archetypes would level them up faster but it doesn't. Staying with mastered classes and spending leaves is faster.

i beat every dungeon in a single day on hard
but i was always able to progress far enough through a dungeon in one day to where earlier enemies would become blue and fuel for my MP regen via mage
i had the same feeling as TC where if I took 2 days, thats just 1 wasted day

however by the end of the game I had quite a few wasted days so all my effort was for nothing

i think the most important thing is every 5th day make sure you take a shit on your gauntlet runner. if the day ends in 5 or 0, you get a permanent +1 luck

*shrug*

I hate grinding so much that I had a much more enjoyable time accepting that dungeons would take several days to complete. I don't think I grinded mage mp, merchant money or thief items a single time and I had a blast going through the game. At the end there was only a single quest I didn't have time to complete and that was honestly because I gave it bottom priority and didn't optimize my routes when side dungeon exploring.

Yeah I've been playing on Hard as well. The game is still generally easy as difficult enemies can be worn down with stun and the unlimited resets means you can keep trying to get a perfect opening turn like if you're trying to get a paralyze or burn status on your first attack if you don't get it you can just reset.

After taking out a few big guys, everything else in the dungeon turns blue because the yellow/red enemies give lots of xp.

Switching around isn't necessarily a bad thing. Lots of archetypes get their best shit by rank 3 and the later archetypes usually have much better synthesis skills.

So, I want to clarify here. Keeping them in mastered archetypes isn't technically faster. It's a 1 to 1 conversion. On a mastered archetype, every 1000 a-exp gives you 1 Hero's Leaf of Light, which gives you 1000 a-exp. But what that allows you to do is keep your current party setup and potentially funnel all of the a-exp into 1 character. I used that to max 100% of the archetypes on the MC, while everyone else still only had 20-30% mastered. Up to you how you spread it around.

Also, something that will help with leveling archetypes is equipping everyone with an Archetypal Ring. It increases the a-exp earned by 50% and you can buy as many as you want from the Nidia Shopkeeper in the 3rd city (Brilehaven). But he only sells them on Watersday and you have to buy them one at a time for 40,000 each (you have to talk to him again after buying one). Also be aware that the a-exp earned on the battle screen will increase when it's equipped on the MC, but that's not the a-exp gain for the entire party. Everyone needs to have one equipped to benefit.

You seem to take issue with any post I make about grinding lol. For the record, I did switch classes around for most of the game. It wasn't until the last leg of the game where I stopped doing that. I didn't max out the MC until the final dungeon. I also don't mind grinding, since I spent over a decade playing mmo's. So a little grinding in a single player game is still fun to me
