I don't think Jimmy was ever really that good. People were calling him Jordan's son, implying he's something of the modern day MJ which was hilarious to me.

Some are saying this is simply a contract dispute. He wants an extension and Miami is not gonna give him one so now he's making all this noise. Not the first time he requested to be trade too.

He's good but he ain't no superstar like a lot of people overrate him to be.

warriors or lakers are the obvious ones to trade for him. hope the thunder don't. they don't need to ruin their chemistry for butler who's been on the decline. rockets i could see going for him but would be dumb to give up like thompson and green or whoever for him even if he helps for the next year or 2.

it's just playoff jimmy. him carrying the heat to the finals twice but he's 35 now so that's the past and he's probably looking for like 4/$150 million or something until he's like 40. riley isn't gonna trade him where he wants to go but butler can kill his trade value.

I'm more happy to see Shams being right on Jimmy wanting out vs Jimmy's agent(Bernard Lee) being a complete dick claiming Shams reporting is false.

Long story short, Jimmy was raised by his mom solo for 13 years at which point she told him to leave because she didnt like the look of him. theres rumors MJ had an abandoned son, Jimmy butler never got to know his dad because the dad left him at birth. Jimmys mom says the dad left to protect his name. reports say MJ had an affair with another woman and abandoned the kid so to not fuck up his marriage and legacy. rumors again say MJ paid child support for 13 years. Jimmy butlers own mom said she kicked him out at 13 because the child support payments stopped coming in. MJs own kids dont look much like him and are half a foot shorter, meanwhile Jimmy Butler is the same height and pics of younger JB (like late teens - early 20s) look just like MJ
