Ok I assume this whole mechanic is designed for Aglaea, but who is good at getting rid of these War Armor stacks in single target? It's not really a problem in aoe, even Baby Herta takes those out, but getting through 7+ before the enemy takes its turn is obnoxious.

I had no problems with Rappa/Therta/Fugue/Aventurine but it's kind of a weird comp on its face

Not very far into the new content but I am liking Amphoreus as a setting pretty well so far.

Penacony had the vibes, but the lore was just agonizing, and I'm not really feeling the same here anymore

They may have fixed Aventurine's bug, but his AI is FUCKED now. He spams skill every single turn.

I'm the opposite. 2.0 was phenomenal, while so far (I just beat the first 2-HP-bar boss in the second zone) I'm nearly bored to tears by Amphoreus.

I was only talking about the lore/setting at least. So far the 2.0 story was better than this one. Though, I'm probably not even 10% of the way through because of course as soon as they gave me an ounce of freedom I stopped to compulsively seek out every single interactable NPC and exclamation mark on the entire map.

We will see how it turns out by the end I guess.

I just unlocked Remembrance Trailblazer so I'm not sure how much father I have left to go, but if I have a complaint it's that the cast is pretty bland. Phainon is fine but he's a pretty standard hero type, Mydei is one-note, Castorice is quiet and emotionless as part of that character archetype, Aglaea...I don't really know how to put this but it feels like they're hedging bets with her not quite committing to either the benevelent overlord or heartless ruler too fully, settling on a lukewarm middle ground. Tribbie isn't bland, but I don't like them lmao. And Mem is about as annoying as I thought it would be, idk what they were thinking.

The setting I'm actually pretty into, despite it feeling they might be overplaying their hand a little early with some of the foreshadowing, but idk yet. The characters are supposed to be the focus in a gacha game though and it's big misses all around!

Im hoping Ill like the cast in Amphoreus because the above is how I felt about Penaconys characters. Couldve torched them all in the story and I wouldnt have cared

Half of Penacony's cast is set up to be deliberately unlikable or polarizing, it's really hard to accuse them of being bland!

I more meant them being big misses, but I did personally find most of them uninteresting too. I wouldnt call them objectively bland though so theres that.

Not far enough to really make a fair judgment of this, but I did think Penacony's characters were more interesting at the onset than Amphoreus's.

I think Phainon will be an interesting character if they don't end up playing his archetype straight, for whatever that's worth.

So far I definitely liked the Penacony setting and general vibe more, but the gameplay in Amphoreus is way better. I disliked....every Penacony puzzle I think?? At best. The actual running around there was a pain. Here I at least like all of them a little bit. Only real miss is the time rewind treasure thief which just feels like a waste of time.

I just got Remembrance TB myself, and things are finally leaving the boilerplate. Here's hoping this trend continues.

Ah I guess Castorice is probably going to be HP scaling so if you are farming the new artifact domain for RMC or Aglaea, don't trash your HP% pieces!

The same batch of Divergent Universe buffs we got that phys dot character leak from, Castorice's have a bunch of HP boosts. Seems weird and I don't know how much we can really extrapolate from these, but better safe than sorry probably.

Ahhhh totally missed that thread. Hmmm good to know. I hadn't started grinding it yet thankfully, getting Rememberance material for Trailblazer.

According to Prydwen she can stack up to 4 Enhanced skills.

Also her E2 just makes it so you get 2 Enhanced Skills each time you ultimate instead of 1...plus an extra free one at the beginning of combat because why not?

Oh OK so she's REAL good with RMC's advance timing being all over the place.

auto battle is sometimes better at using The Herta than i am

Man if Anaxa ends up actually being Imaginary Erudition, this may be the first time people actually riot over an element choice.

I am officially a believer in Relic drops being rigged.

Truly an obscene amount of speed boots and speed substats showing up for that new Quantum set.

Realizing if the new Slow Quantum set is for Castorice, she is going to be absolutely insane with Sunday since his free action advance every turn completely negates the downside of having low speed. They're going to do the diabolical thing and rerun him along side her, aren't they?

...well, at least we have Sunday at home (RMC)

I mean Sunday is just as diabolical with Aglaea, just for the opposite reason (speed tuning Aglaea so high that she has just a hair MORE spread than Sunday, and she gets brought right back against immediately after her turn.

It doesn't get talked about much, but Sunday was actually an enormous buff to Seele too for that very reason, especially with her signature LC.

It says there's still a spirithief, but for every other map Sprithiefs are included with the rest of the chest counts, too. It wouldn't be 31 regular chests and 2 spirit chests, it would be 31 totals and 2 of them are attached to thieves.

But now there's no more chests, but still a thief.

Idk if you found it but some nymphs have spirit thieves too

Well I finished the 3.0 story. Nothing crazy but pretty solid! It's less interesting than Penacony but there's also less awkward fumbling, and the cliffhanger is way less abrupt. I kind of get people who are fed up with the game's storytelling in this update, but tbh it's always been like this so it's nothing new...

Also, the thing that's happening here is after remaking the world the Chrysos Heirs will eventually become mad titans and start the cycle again, right? Amphoreus being shaped like a moebius strip feels like a pretty big tell. I guess the mystery is why it's set up this way. Maybe the third path on the planet is Permenance with the reincarnation focus and Dan Heng being a big focus?

Just as a sanity check, ATK% isn't that much worse as an offensive option than Ice DMG% on the orb for Remembrance MC right? Like I should be going ATK% with relevant substats over ICE DMG% with no relevant substats any day of the week.

Anyways looking like 160 Speed, 193% CRIT DMG with 32% still to gain from traces, plus enough Effect RES for Broken Keel. This feels like I got way better relics for her than I was expecting...

Franky Rememberance TB's damage output is so low that it's not even a big deal if you go HP or Def Orb. CRTD and Speed substats matter more.

3.0 story finished.

I was pretty fond of this overall, but it's hard to say too much. I think the story shows more potential than anything so far in HSR, but also this was kind of just a lot of setup and for the most part that potential hasn't been realized yet. Definitely interested in where they go from here though.

Castorice was great, especially the segment going through the past version of castrum Kremnos. I'm actually coming around on Phainon also to be honest.

I feel like there have been hints that the 3rd path is Enigmata, but I don't know. Could easily be reading too much into things. Nihility also seems decently likely.

Also not sure how likely this actually is, but the one lore thing I just can't seem to shake out of my head is the possibility that Dr. Primitive is going to be the big bad of version 3.

3.0 done for a couple of days myself. My thoughts:

Stuff I liked:

• Phainon might not be anything unique, but he's a really good heart for the party. Definitely like him.
• Castorice shows a lot of potential. The same segment Pyresword talked about was pretty damn good. Eager to dive more into what she has going on.
• Dan Heng is finally finding his niche as a character (for me anyway)
• Mem ended up being more endearing than I expected. Paimon they are not.
• Herta remains hilarious.
• The entire climax segment was phenomenal. HSR never misses there. Gnaeus is based as hell, RIP my man
• Sidequests remain great, HSR also consistently hits there too.

And for the rest:

• I've hit Greekification Overload in media, and that's definitely colored my perception of the world. This doesn't feel like a place that needed to be, or was even well suited to, HSR.
• Tribbie and Mydei just kinda exist, I guess. I have zero interest in whatever's going on there.
• Aglaea. Sweet God, what a dogshit character. She is one of the biggest reasons I'm mid-to-low on this MSQ. What a thoroughly unlikable asshole consistently glazed by everyone in the story, including the authors, except our boy Dan Heng. "Oh she's losing her humanity, you should feel bad for her and be patient, uwu" fuck off. Grow a spine and call her on it then.
• Enemies are really boring this time around, nothing else to say there.
• My biggest indictment of the story is that all of the most interesting parts of the Amphoreus MSQ (aside from the kickass climax) happen outside of Amphoreus. It shows the weakness of the setting in comparison to entire rest of the HSR 'verse.
• The fact that we have one final bastion of humanity with political intrigue happening with the entire rest of the world's doom encroaching on it, feels like Belobog again. Difference being, Belobog was charming. Not a good look when 1.0 is outshining the new place.

Overall, giving this a lukewarm 6/10, not excited to be spending more than 3 patches here, let alone... 8? Is it 3.0 to 3.7? Oof.

they are so afraid of leaning into having an unlikable female character, man, it creates this completely incomprehensible characterization. when she ties up the trailblazer and dan heng and threatens to execute them on the spot I was like FINALLY we are doing something interesting. then eventually you get her POV and they walk it back with actually it was all an elaborate test for Castorice and I never planned on executing them at all. so now she just occupies this extremely stupid spot where the characters don't trust her but the player has no reason to care? this is like the reverse of what they did with Ruan Mei

I've been really going slowly on this patch so far because its just... soooo uninteresting. The entire cast of Amphoreus is just kind of awful honestly, or are obviously being saved for later so much that they are just kind of 'there' right now.

And the setting is just kind of dull too.

So how much of it is voiced in English? Im assuming Himeko and Dan are still silent, but curious about the rest

Himeko and Dan are silent, I think that's mostly the only relevant ones in regular narrative.....except for one very important and VERY unfortunate section about 2/3 through where it's genuinely just so depressing that almost nobody is voiced.

Dan has had a lot of lines so far as where I am that aren't voiced.
Him and Trailblazer not being voiced are the biggest issues so far. The new characters do talk a LOT though and make up the majority of the dialogue, however.

Himeko hasn't really mattered that much so far as I am.
I've also had one scene later on spoiled for me that some characters aren't voiced that seems... really bad too with Firefly and Kafka being mute

Yeah the actual gameplay here is just so much better. Hard to ignore even if the vibes are just inherently less interesting so far.

Also this new Apocalyptic Shadow seems rouuuuuugh.

Did Apocalyptic Shadow. Used Fu Xuan/Therta/Jade/Remembrance MC for the swarm boss and Ruan Mei/Aventurine/Hunt March 7th/Feixiao for the other one.

I don't really have a direct apples-to-apples comparison, but the Therta/Jade team made the first half just a complete cakewalk. It performed better than the Feixiao team even with my RMC build not finished yet and with probably poor optimization on how to actually use RMC in combat. Of course, the fight was clearly designed to showcase The Herta specifically, and they were even kind enough to just add Quantum weakness to the fight for no real reason other than that Herta's premium 5* partner-in-crime who is also on the rerun banner happens to be quantum type.

We'll see going forward I guess. I don't have super high hopes for The Herta in AS when the fights aren't designed around her, but she at least performed well here. She'll still be god mode in PF no matter what of course, and she seems solid enough for MoC.
