So what counts as beating this game? just beating each of the tournament modes? The gym leader challenge?

I remember the move sets being trash but didn't remember just how trash they are. Doing the pika cup or whatever that's capped at level 15-20. Using rental pokemon and I see Alakazam like wtf that's broken. Then see the move set is like psywave, mega punch and whatever the 2 other moves were. I still grabbed it since it's a special wall in gen 1 and curious to see if psywave in this game is as bad as it is in the gameboy games.

Stadium and Stadium 2 would be 11/10 games if the rental Pokemon all had move sets that make sense.

I think it's supposed to be a form of balancing + incentive to use your own. Good stat mons have terrible movesets while weak mons have good movesets, and if you want both you'd have to use your own.

i'm assuming the whole point was to import your own pokemon into the games if you had the transfer pack but of course renting it didn't come with it and buying the game used you didn't get it. so i never even got to use it.

would be cool to bring back the series on the switch 2. can even have them tied to the switch pokemon games assuming they're backwards compatible and import your pokemon into stadium to use. actually didn't they have a stadium game on the switch or was it something different? there's so many spinoffs it's hard to keep up on them.

Beating Mewtwo (who appears after you do everything else) makes the credits roll, and unlocks Round 2 (which is basically Hard Mode).

Now play through on hard where you'll go several matches of plowing through everything in sight with Mewtwo. Then suddenly, your accuracy goes down to 5%

honestly doubt i'll play that far. but i'll see how long it lasts. have a feeling it'll probably end up just making me want to play a real pokemon game and i'll end up trying yellow legacy or go back to that team rocket one i was playing a couple years ago.
