Looks like there was a big patch last month that fixed a bunch of textures/lighting issues

Apparently Rockstar took them from Grove Street Games and did a great job at updating them. Not sure to what extent however.

They recently got patched with a shitload of fixes and improvements including lighting options that match the lighting in the originals. If you have the original games on PC I recommend just modding them but if you don't, the remake trilogy is decent enough.

They are better than they were, but still hit or miss. I think 3 might actually be the best version of 3 to play, Vice City is okay, but is missing a lot of songs. San Andreas was the worst for me by a lot. Very buggy and the art style didn't fit imo.

I'd say not a good first time through the series, but it's perfectly fine if you want to revisit them and they're still good fun.

Enjoy just losing 3 hours of your life randomly. I bounced off it the first time I played, but when I went back I was totally hooked. Once you start to get into a groove and understand the real ins and outs it's extremely hard to not just go for one more run to see what you can do.

Oh yeah, a buddy of mine just gifted me Armored Core 6. Gonna be running that tonight :D very excited

Shredder's Revenge IS pretty awesome. I should do another playthrough soon.

Shredder's Revenge is great. Only ever played it solo. Bet it's crazy with a full party.
