I have been gaming regularly since 1980 and its my favorite game of all time. I even played online which I RARELY do because its an excellent extension of the single player and can be played solo. Give me Red Dead Redemption 2 remastered with 60 fps and bump up the graphics even more and Id be content. The underlying 3D is fine, but at the moment the the only way to play the game is 720 with 60 FPS only in combat on PS3. PSO episode 1 and 2 is my favorite game of all-time, but if I ever got a nostalgic craving to play it again I still have my dreamcast discs, my episode 1 and 2 plus disc for gamecube, and the private server offline capable PSO blue burst on my PC. I wouldn't mind a more simple remaster (at the same time I can see younger gamers or people trying out phantasy star online for their first time instantly turned off from the original's 3 timed button press combat), but if I had a choice... I'd love to see my favorite game remade with modern technology. I'm thinking a slight cel-shading style to it (I really like marvel rival's art style and would be neat to see it applied to other games.....feels like my favorite video game art styles is attached to hero shooters like this one or gacha crap like genshin impact n' zenless zone zero, =/ lol) and a combat system similar to the one used for the phantasy star portable 2/portable infinity games. (It has that same timing-based system of original PSO, but movement isn't as retrictive like classic PSO, it has a dodge roll for emergencies, and I'm thinking they can still keep classic PSO's extra attack button for special weapon effects moves). As much as it pains me to say it, if there is one thing phantasy star online 2 did right its character creation, so my ideal PSO blue burst remake can just lift the character creator from that.
