Tennessee sure died quickly on that drive after the face mask

Ohio State has shown up extra angry and motivated the last few times they lost to Michigan

I was a little worried that's the version we'd get tonight but it's still early

Ohio State at their best is as good as anyone, and unfortunately, that's the team we got tonight. Both Ohio State and Georgia figured out how to neutralize our pass rush, and that was concerning. I guess most teams can't do what they do, but still.

That being said, I've been impressed with Nico. He's had to do the heavy lifting tonight considering we're down 3 of our 4 best offensive weapons. He's gonna be really good next year. Hopefully our WRs can be better and healthier next season.

I was surprised by how many people thought Ohio State would lose. Michigan game aside, Ohio State has looked pretty great all season and arguably should have won the Oregon game too.

I'm sorry it wasn't competitive Leon but I am also glad it was lopsided because maybe this will stop some of the anti SMU / Indiana talk. I think Ohio State are a significantly better team than Notre Dame and Penn State but the SEC essentially got a beating just as bad as SMU and Indiana by a supposedly lesser team going off the rankings.

Usually the SEC is the strongest conference but this year it was a lot closer than SEC fans try make you believe. It was a down year for the better SEC teams but people want to hand wave away the bad losses.

I think the SEC was the deepest league this year (the Big Ten had four good teams this year, five if you want to be generous and count Illinois), but it definitely wasn't as strong at the top as it has been in recent years.

Ohio State was the better team, don't get me wrong, but I do wonder if Tennessee could've been a little more competitive if Sampson could've played at all or if two of our WRs don't get hurt early. At the very least, maybe they score on that opening drive in the second half and put a little scare into Ohio State.

Was at the game, so I'm going to assume you were referring to when the crowd was chanting "Refs you suck"

Thank you. That's gotta be it. A few bad calls - even the announcers were confused - and the crowd became as unruly as the players. Was hard to hear what was being chanted because of how much was going on.

Yeah, the Tech crowd was kinda mad after the PI call in the first half that looked like it was total BS (though it's possible on tv that it was an obvious penalty, it's always a different picture in the stands, but from where we were it really seemed like it). But everyone kinda calmed down after Vandy had that sideline infraction called against them. But after the no-call on the kick catch interference in the 3rd quarter, people lost it.

Then the PI call after that sent people over the edge and they started yelling and booing at everything. Like they'd bring local people out to receive awards during the commercial breaks, they made the mistake of asking "how are you doing tonight?" and the Tech fans responded by yelling and booing through the presenter's entire spiel, then applauded for the lady that got the award. The presenter decided to go "see, you can't boo THAT" which everyone then proceeded to boo even more.

The fans were PISSED, and it was clear that Tech just lost all their composure after that call and imploded. Though to be honest, Tech imploding and deflating everyone was probably best for all involved, even if it ends up being embarrassing.

We actually left before the evacuation though - it was clear Tech had completely lost control, it was raining, and we have a two and a half hour drive back home. So it's probably a good thing we left.
