After Biden defeated Trump in 2020, but then Trump defeated Harris in 2024, I just don't know anymore. At age 78, Biden at the time was neither youthful nor charismatic. He was just another old white guy, but he received over 81 million popular votes, which is an unbroken record in history. How did he win Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia? Basically, he defeated Trump in every single swing state except for North Carolina. Four years later, Trump actually defeated Harris in all seven swing states. I thought Harris would outperform either Biden or Trump due to being a fresh change, not to mention Trump inciting January 6 and having 34 felony convictions. What about Biden made him such a clear winner? 306 electoral votes and 81 million popular votes is quite remarkable. It's because there were so many people refusing to vote for Harris because A - She's a woman B - She's not white C - They thought she was somehow personally responsible for Gaza D - Democrats always, always get complacent when it's voting time 2020 was the only exception to D because we were in the middle of a pandemic and everybody hadn't yet forgotten how fucking awful Trump is ...
