Here we go! After four months of preliminaries, we've narrowed it down to our final 128 -- now to narrow it down to the single best Pokemon.

You all know how this works, I've run enough of these damn tournaments. Vote for your favorite of the two Pokemon presented; the winner will move on in the bracket, the loser gets to stay in a PC Box for all eternity.

Rounds last 24 hours, give or take; sometimes I'm not always at my computer right on time, or have to post the next one a little early so I can move on to other parts of my day. It might also happen that I'm not able to post the next round on time at all, but I'll at least end the poll if I'm able to in that case.

If there's a tie that refuses to break, it will be decided with a quick Lightning Round. I'll go over what that entails if and when it comes up.

Arcanine easily, i do like Empoleon though.

I think Kanto arcanine is overrated but how did Empoleon make it this far

Both are cool, but I think Arcanine is a bit overrated and I really like Empoleon.

Ark-uh-nine? If you mean that our-kay-nine sounds more correct, its cadence feels off in English if one was just reading the name freshly.

Anyway, Ark-uh-nine is overrated. It's remarkably fine, but Empoleon is a severely underrated design.

It should be arCAnine, not ARcanine. "Can" is pronounced like "cane" in both "arcane" and "canine" and is the stressed syllable in both words, too. ARK-uh-nine buries both words and offers nothing to its name.

I feel close to nothing for both of these and voted for Arcanine.

Arcanine is my favorite.

I do love the Penguin, but it has to be Arcanine.

I voted for Arcanine cause look at the doggo, but damn it if I don't love both of them.

i love empoleon

Both are great, but I like the Emperor Penguin a bit more

Arcanine is great and all, but the penguin is just a bit better.

Afternoon bump

The Big Dog is one of my all-time top three and I will bend over backwards to find a spot for him on a competitive team. This one hurts though, because I love Empoleon for much the same reasons.
