I mean at its core this is how democracy is supposed to work. You accept the voting results and everyone tries to work together to improve the country and keep things going.

Are they supposed to throw a huge baby fit and oppose the will of the people? Overthrow democracy? Americans voted Trump. Now they make do with the leadership the people chose.

CE has absolutely no principals at all. They condemn one side for doing something shady, and then condemn the other side for not doing the same. If both sides were equally petty then what is even the fucking point?

But she wasn't. I watched... I think it was one of BTC's guests walk through the process of how she ended up a basically a 1 in 2 chance of being drawn despite like 8+ (was it that many?) in her district.

I can't quite explain it, because I don't understand probability, but I know there were deliberate delays until half the judges were already calendared and another on vacation, slimming the pool down to begin with.

It was a lovely bit of legal sleight of hand once it was down to her and... well... her.

Depends on whether or not said civil war results in power outages. People went apeshit over being stuck in their homes for a year. What do you think they'll do when their internet, streamed vids, central heating/AC, and porn are taken away? (Booze might also become more scarce)

I doubt anyone from CE will fight. Most of us are nearing middle age anyway. But there will be people who will. But also, I don't know when the war will happen. Could be in the next 4 years. Or maybe it will happen 30 years from now. Also, maybe the Europeans will invade America to free us. The rest of this century will be interesting
