After what my friend saw at a test screening and spoiled for me...yeah it's not going to be good unless they drastically change the script.

Trailer looks good but not sold on the movie

Falcon and The Winter Soldier was disappointing and I really liked Sam and Bucky in Winter Soldier and Civil War

Red Hulk looks off but other than that I will say the CGI is pretty damn impressive

Hulk bad guys without the Hulk is just...disrespectful.

Never bothered with the TV series, but I really can't see him as anything but a second string character. I don't think they utilized him enough to bump him up to a main character properly.

Fantastic Four might actually be really good next year. They're reportedly setting it in a universe that's got a 1960's technology aesthetic, which is exactly what a Fantastic Four debut needs to have.

It's kind of Steve Rogers' whole thing. He stands up for actual freedom and American ideals, and often opposes government entities (public or secret) who want to restrict or otherwise oppress the people.

Maybe the Red Hulk encounter makes Sam realize that, despite his current abilities, he really needs to take a super soldier serum?

People reading details of the story without having seen it is wierd to me.

Like if I described to you the plot of guardians of the galaxy 1 in which the movie ends with the lead hero gyrating to distract the bad guy leading to their victory 99% of people would think it sounds terrible. But it works just fine in the movie

I believe this actually happened with Endgame leaks. People read them and didn't like it, but the execution of it in the actual movie was much better.

Looks alright, still not a fan of the decision to not give him powers.

I hope he never takes that serum also I don't like how they're using hulk rivals and bad guys without Hulk himself through at this point what even is MCU hulk anymore? He went from the savage one we knew, to a shit version of world war hulk to smart hulk to ??? then there's betty ross, she hasn't mattered in over a decade are they gonna bring her back and make her red she hulk like the comics too to give Jen a rival and speaking of Jen, once they bring in the Fantastic Four are they going to make her and Spider Man kick up friendships with them since they're so close to those guys that there are several stories where they either team up or flat out replace one of their members should they die or coma or whatever comic nonsense happens to them.

These trailers do nothing for me its probably gonna be another disappointing mcu movie lol

I skipped out after Endgame, making an exception for Guardians 3.

Falcon was my favorite Avenger, so I might make an exception for this too. Especially with Harrison Ford being a major character.

I'm kind of afraid I might have sat too much out at this point though. The last Captain America movie (Civil War... I THINK that's still the last one) was like, make sure you watch Thor 2 and Iron Man 7 and Ant Man vs Galactus 4 first.

Difference is this movie got test screenings and almost all of them were mixed to negative receptions.

It's kind of funny that the test screening my friend watched had Sabra with a completely different backstory than what we got now with the new test screenings where she is an IDF soldier that her parents got killed by "terrorists" (that just happen to wear turbans and speak arabic) and had a much bigger role as supporting main cast like Joaquin Torres and now is just an ex-black widow agent that got her role reduced significantly.

The leaks may be true but they were plot points written very briefly by someone who sounded overly negative as a person or to marvel and seemed to have gripes with this not being a big avengers set up and being some what standalone

As someone whose only watched the Marvel movies, will this movie make any sense?

Far too many of the current Marvel films require watching their Disney+ shows in order to make any sense of them. And I'm not about to dedicate that much time for a movie.

Who's making Falcon's new wings? His first set in TWS was pretty grounded, relatively standard government funded tech. IIRC after that Stark was making him better wings. Where are they coming from now?

Didn't cap's SSS make him smarter as well? To explain how he was able to bounce his shield at objects so effectively? How does Falcon do that to airborne ordinance?

The superhero landing with 0 problems or even any sense of momentum after coming in hot with a sonic boom seemed ridiculous to me. Dude came in supersonic and just appeared on the ground and posed.

Theres a whole lot of great movies that I can make sound really bad by simply describing what happens in it. Its why the whole leak culture is vile to me. Goes against the very concept of watching movies

Hmm, I didn't think it did, but looking it up, it apparently gave him a photographic memory, and supposedly otherwise increased his intelligence, but I can't find specifics beyond the photographic memory.

Like a basketball player unconsciously calculating the strength and trajectory of their shots, I thought the SSS made him smart enough to do the same thing for far more complicated throws with the shield.

That has never been stated within the MCU. I don't know if it's been stated in the comics, as there are literally hundreds of comics starring him, and probably thousands with him, and I have only read some of them.

Sam had a training montage where he was practising with the shield. We all know everyone becomes an expert at whatever is in the montage!

Yeah that's the biggest shadow looming over this movie for me.

If Marvel would at least confirm that Hulk is gonna get a movie of his own, or even a supporting role in someone else's movie like in Ragnarok, that would at least help me feel less salty about it.

They arent gonna confirm that til they know there's people who are going to see a hulk movie. The last one barely broke even.

Internet comments complaining about hulk status don't make them money, and a hulk movie in this day and age would be stupidly expensive. They'd have to be sure the demand is there. So if you wanna see that happen might wanna check this out.

Thats not so much the serum as it is being used to using it so much that he instinctively knows how to work it effectively. Thats always been the explanation, and many characters in the comics without the serum have been able to become good with it.

Just like any other weapon extensive training and usage of it becomes second nature, cap has heightened capabilities even beyond this due to the serum and his being able to throw it harder than anyone else.

Sam already displayed he had done this with the wings, by the time you get to civil war hes using these wings like its a video game.

I think it's funny that they're saddling the brand new Captain America with the leftover plot scraps from a 15 year old Hulk movie.
