Holy fuck, I had just given up hope for this game coming to Switch.

That means the entire Xenoblade series so far is playable natively on Switch. That's amazing.

And oh shit, they actually are going to continue/finish the damn story!

If so then the poor wii u was made completely irrelevant in every single possible way by having it's entire actual good game/most wanted game library ported to it's successor. The only exclusive that could be reasonably ported to Switch, yes. The others rely too heavily on the GamePad.

There's also Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD, but I wouldn't call them exclusives.
Oh, and Yoshi's Woolly World, which did get a 3DS port, but many consider it to be much better than Crafted World.

Smash 4 and Splatoon are there as well, but both got much bigger and better sequels on the Switch.

Paper Mario is stuck on there too.

That spaceship game too, but it needs touch controls and split screen to work

The gamepad part of X could be put into a menu. I suggested this years ago.

Yeah I have always never counted smash 4 wii u and splatoon myself since as you said ultimate and splatoon 2 is pretty much enhanced ports/sequels that is better in every single way. Smash 4's most well-liked mode smash run is a 3DS exclusive and so smash 4 wii u has no purpose to be played anymore....its exclusive mode was meh.

Ah yeah I forgot about that star fox zero game. Something there might can be salvaged by completely scrapping those gamepad controls n' functions and thus turning all that into standard gameplay, and adding a good deal more stages, story, and a few more modes to fill out the game better.

One of the greatest games i ever played, but it's elden ring with how demanding/cryptic it can be to the player. Hopefully, the DE fixes the games issues.

-Audio mixing where dialogue is drowned out by music during cut scenes.
-gathering quest being nightmares with little to no clue where items can be found on the map.
-make it clear unless you change classes you can literally waste exp for hours.
-re do what it takes to get a skell.
-make it so online isn't so integral to gathering rare items.
-explain overdrive properly.
-Add more VAs for cross.
-the ability to control the ost on the open world.

I 100%'d it back in the day at 660+ hours. Don't think i can justify playing through this again, but let's see if they can justify it with the right additions.

x is different from the others.

Think of it like FF5 meets open-world meets FF14.

Class system that lets you mix and match learned abilities for deep party builds.

Open world with really good monster design, very fun movement options, and lots of nice hidden areas. You can also make probes which find materials. Depending on where you put them, youll have better resources, so there is a bit of farming strategy too.

And FF14 because it is free movement turned based combat, mmo stuled progression, etc.

The story is good, but the writing is wonky. It comes off very juvenile at times because they tried to add a whole bunch of cringey anime type humor (you know, characters overreacting to misunderstandings, really dumb puns that dont translate well, and screaming). But when they get to the main story stuff, its good.

I feel like in retrospect I'm glad I never bought the WiiU. I only played a few of it's launch games and a demo of Splatoon's single player mode.

The world is incredibly huge and combat is mostly automatic with reliance on the player to perform skills and combos which are on cooldown timers. If you love exploration of land, sea, and air, I really recommend it but look up a tutorial on combat so you don't fuck your build up like I did.

I never finished it either, but I have read about part of the ending. Turns out when the timer runs down to 0%, everyone is still able to continue on somehow, but that's as much as I know about the ending.

No, but it introduces a new and very big mystery and a new smaller mystery. Hopefully we get some elaboration and sequel news.

Xenoblade series is in the backlog. Hopefully I'll get to them before I die. I started Xenoblade Chronicles but never finished because my housemate took his Wii when he moved out.

Nope. The Elma and crew found out that the Lifehold had been destroyed since they crash-landed on Mira, but somehow, everyone was still alive--which should be impossible, since everyone from Earth is a remote-controlled Mimeosome with their minds contained in the Lifehold--leading Elma to speculate that the planet was behind it.

Then, Lao, who is somehow alive again after being killed and disintegrated in the final battle, washes up on a beach where the hooded man shows up. This part is shown in the Definitive Trailer.

Then, the game says "This story never truly ends.", and that's it.

I'm struggling to think of any changes made to the North American version aside of including DLC in the base game and making some armor slightly less revealing on the literal 13 year-old party member. Am I missing anything else?

X is its own thing, it's not a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles 1.

XCX is the closest game I'll ever play to PSO again cause it has those vibes hard. Crash landed on a planet, need to explore and expand for your colony. Serious Sci Fi goodness with an amazing soundtrack and HUGE areas to explore.

Just glorious. I'm so happy it is coming back.
