It's pretty good if you like 80s references. Unfortunately, it got very unrealistic and a good deal less funny starting with season 7, when the real Adam F. Goldberg stopped being the showrunner. I still watched it to the end, though.

every single episode follows the same formula

although the cast was based on adam goldbergs real family, he actually didnt have an older sister. erica was made up for the show
but some parts of her were taken from his eldest brother
