Here we go! After four months of preliminaries, we've narrowed it down to our final 128 -- now to narrow it down to the single best Pokemon.

You all know how this works, I've run enough of these damn tournaments. Vote for your favorite of the two Pokemon presented; the winner will move on in the bracket, the loser gets to stay in a PC Box for all eternity.

Rounds last 24 hours, give or take; sometimes I'm not always at my computer right on time, or have to post the next one a little early so I can move on to other parts of my day. It might also happen that I'm not able to post the next round on time at all, but I'll at least end the poll if I'm able to in that case.

If there's a tie that refuses to break, it will be decided with a quick Lightning Round. I'll go over what that entails if and when it comes up.

I always want Nido to be better than he is.

Kinda dig the "literally scalemail" design of Kommo-o, so away they go.

Nidoking and it isnt even close.

Always liked the Nidos.

No strong feelings about Kommo-o. It's uninspiring for a Pseudo.

Everything

Not even gen 1 bias, Nidoking is one of the best designs of all pokemon. An absolute monster ingame with crazy coverage and stab EQ or earth power. Pretty bad in competitive as far as I know though. Stats are very mid and sheer force can't really fix that. It's one of my all time favorites though.

If you come at the King, you best not miss.

Hail to the king.

Also in Smogon 6v6 it's been consistently OU or UU for its entire existence (except gen 1) up to gen 9, where it's only in natdex. That's a stellar record as far as most pokemon go, don't sleep on it.

Looks like the King keeps his crown this round.

Nidoking has a lot of menacing artworks that bleed strength and just a presence? It's different than Aggron or Rhyperior and is hard to pin down, exactly. I'll try to say more in its next round.

Kommo-o is fun to say, though.

Kommo-o is a great pseudo but Nidoking is sweet too.

I like both, but Nido has the old roughness that I find lacking in modern designs, and so I am biased.

Kommo-o is the only pseudo-legendary that I'm just not a fan of at all, so definitely Nidoking.

Literally every single Pokemon in existence, from 1 to 1025, plus regional forms were counted separately from their normal versions. We had months of qualifying rounds done in Pokedex order. So if you're wondering why some really popular Pokemon didn't make the tournament or why some fairly unpopular Pokemon did make it, it's because of the competition they faced in their qualifying rounds.

I don't dislike Kommo-o, but Nidoking is better.

Oh, this one is tough. Kommo-o was the perfect third to round out my Gardevoir/Bisharp combo that eventually carried me through the Battle Tree, but Nidoking has always been one of my favorites. I voted for Nidoking, but I'm crying about it!

I'll never forget how much fun I had teaching my 'King his birthright (Body Slam) and having him kick the trainers' asses on the S.S. Anne.

Kommo-o is one of the few Dragons I like, and might be the best on in my opinion

Surprised Komo is so popular honestly. Ive always hated the way it looked honestly.

I want to vote Kommo-o as a Dragon-user myself, but Nidoking is a goddamn classic and perennial favorite of mine.

Kommo-o is cool, but I always loved Nidoking.

Nidoking is... definitely top 5 for me, maybe even top 3. I feel sad it's been been such a big victim to powercreep but it's one of the best designs in the franchise. It's just so simple and cool.

Same. Like it's very dinosaur and the plates are a neat idea, but I just don't like how it looks. I'm not even that into Nidoking, but I don't like the plate dragons at all.

Reckless Nidiking is solid in the meta, just predictable. Same as Arcanine.

Kommo-o is one of the few good designs in Gen 7, but it cant compete with the King.

Nidoking was like the undisputed best in-game Pokmon in Gen 1 in a way that very few Pokmon can ever claim.

He also just has one of the best designs ever. It isn't obviously based on any one animal or thing like a lot of Pokmon are but still comes off as an animal Pokmon that feels natural.
