Technically 2. I have a 27 inch 1440P primary monitor. I also have my 55 inch LG C1 connected to it a few feet away for when I want to play games on it.

I'm debating whether to go from a vertically docked laptop with 2 monitors to 3.

Basically dictates whether I need a Thunderbolt hub or just a decent USB4 dock. I'm hoping TB5 docks can do PD instead of barrel jack charging.

Just one for my laptop. I don't care much for a second monitor. I have one for my work laptop and sometimes I hook the HDMI to my own laptop if I want to watch things on both screens but the few times I need to do that is not worth buying myself a second monitor.

A 7" 1080p 120hz built-in display, and two external 24" 1080p 100hz monitors. Though using all three at the same time is extremely rare; I'm usually either using the built-in one alone (when gaming), or using the two external ones with the built-in one disabled (when doing desktop stuff).

None at home because I got rid of my desktop PC about 12 years ago. I only ever use a tablet. Outside of gamesfaqs I barely use the Internet.

However right now I'm currently at work and I work at a power plant and I'm in the main control room overlooking everything and in this room I have 31 displays. The smallest are 24 inch monitors with the largest being a group of six 49 inch displays.

Just the laptop screen, but I don't use my computer for gaming at all. I'll connect it to my LG C3 OLED tv if we're going to watch a movie that isn't on streaming.

2 is the sweet spot. tried 3 and realized that 3rd screen rarely gets used so it just saps power and desk space. my opinion might change if i was a video editor tho

Two, though I also have an extra monitor that sort of sits on a different desk in case I also want a second monitor for my laptop.

I recently upgraded to a second screen and I wish I did it sooner. I could see use for a 3rd now too. One to play video, one for whatever I'm mainly doing, another for text references. It's a contagion.

Two. I like to full screen my text editor, so I have one portrait at half size (as in, corner to corner) and quarter resolution (so that the dpi matches) that I use for music controls and explorer windows.

2, i originally wanted to upgrade to 3 but don't really have the room for it. i mean like i could do it if i really wanted but i haven't really had many times i been like damn i wish i had a 3rd monitor. half the time i don't even turn on the 2nd one. it's mainly used to watch youtube and stuff while doing other stuff. if i worked from home i could see me upgrading to a 3rd monitor tho and just used one for work stuff, 1 for google and whatever and 3rd for youtube.

I have just the one for the most part. I have a 32" Alienware monitor on my main PC, the other PC serves a sim rig with a 47" Sony 4K TV. I like to use my laptop by itself too, just the one screen.

That said, my office has two 24" monitors, and my desk at work has 3 of the same monitors. For work, two is great, but at home I prefer just using the one. I hate double-screening because I can't pay proper attention to one or t'other, whereas at work I often need two screens.

I have two ancient 24" HP IPS screens that I got during my office shuttering from the pandemic.

I'm scared to upgrade. I'd mainly just want HDR and maybe free/adaptive sync. 24" is already huge, I haven't decided on 1080p or 1440p. And then it becomes a pain in the ass to find a sane refresh rate that is divisible by 24.
