Considering how much supplemental marketing material alone needs to be designed, created, planned and executed I think it's more or less impossible to contain a leak for something like this.

I used to work at a brand agency and even for some small time bullshit like a new real-estate project there's going to be about 50 different people involved at some point or another and most of them have very little stake in the matter beyond getting paid for some contract work. For a new console there's going to be thousands of people involved at one stage or another.

And you don't just get to bring the dates forward so easily, not when you have a big campaign launch date. It's months of preparation just to get it ready for a specific date.

Of all the zoomer phrases this is probably my least favourite

The vast majority of the people who are buying it will never even see or care about the leaks.

And you don't fuck around with a carefully planned major product launch because of them. They aren't going to have any effect on sales.

Still way too small if true. Feels like a bad joke how much default storage comes on things these days, especially as file sizes continue to inflate to stupid degrees.

They can do whatever they want for the reveal, because these leaks mean nothing to the vast majority of the public and Nintendo doesn't give a shit about terminally online weirdos with perpetually bad takes.

I'm not too bugged about internal storage so long as we have the option to expand with SD cards. And it sounds like Switch will do that. It's shit like Apple and Samsung that don't give that option and provide terrible on board storage. Then there's Microsoft with the Xbox Series offering only a proprietary solution that's still expensive as all get out. At least Sony offers you to have at it with any M.2 SSDs you want.

We have 1TB SD cards on the market now. The small on board memory isn't much of an issue to me.

Tbh I've never had much issue with the Switch's storage. Yeah, the base storage is low, but you're extremely good to go with a cheap SD or whatever they're called cards. I guess it's a hidden price point, but I don't think it's much of an issue. You'd have to have so many games on the system for there to be a problem and I imagine you can get more sizeable cards still at a lower price for a base SSD replacement or expansion for the PS5 where file size is a much more significant issue.

Todays the day theyre going to announce the Switch 2, Im sure of it says increasingly nervous fan for the seventh time this year

Were going to have the Switch 3 fully leaked before Nintendo announces Switch 2.

All I know is that there better be a Wind Waker/Twilight Princess remaster announcement or Nintendo can kick its new console down the road.

Those seem like the safest assumptions for a "leak".

16gb would be standard these days, but I was fine with 12 to run anything out today on a budget pc. Just need a gpu that can at least trade blows with base ps4 in this thing.
