The Sony Defense Force would claim that the PS6 cost $900 to make while the Switch 2 cost only $300 to make, so really Sony was saving consumers money and Nintendo was price-gouging consumers.

unfortunately, if you're interested in multiplats, if the Switch 2 uses tech that's weaker than the PS6/Xbox successor, developers might continue to either give it versions that aren't as good or just straight up skip it.

but at $800+, maybe I should go PC

I dont know why Sony is raising the price so much. The pro being so expensive makes me think the ps6 will have to be the same price or even more expensive.

If youre already in the $800 range youre literally just better off buying a pc for around that price or just a few hundred more. Theres no reason to buy a console for that price when PC gaming is cheaper than ever

You can get a completely passable PC for under $800, and have access to several generations of games on steam and gog. Nintendo is the only company that doesn't port their games to PC these days.
