Final Fantasy. Meh. The real question is when you're going to do this for the Falcom RPGs.

Enjoyed this. I've definitely listened to more FF music than any other IP's. I think the FFVII Main Theme would be my #1 song - just cries out "grand adventure" like nothing else.

This may be the first time I have ever seen someone completely dismiss the series music

My list would have all battle themes near the top.

I need high intensity and driving rhythms!

But it's great how much you appreciate the vocal tracks and the emotional side of the series. And putting the main theme at 1 is kinda "whoa" to me. Like this is a true fan

To me it's those emotional moments that make me love the series so much.

I'd be hard-pressed to make a list of FF music without getting to Seymour Battle in the top 50. Probably much higher.

By contrast, OWA wouldn't make the cut at all for me. As someone who's never finished FF7, it's an incredibly overrated track.

I queued up all the embedded videos in a playlist since where I left off previously and I'm listening through it as I'm doing work. The whiplash of going from modern-era tracks back to SNES era is something, lol.

Just wanted to pop in because Sixteen Bells kicked in and oh man. For an OST that I maybe had higher expectations that I should have, which underwhelmed me as a result, too much music that doesn't work outside of the game environment imo... when it hits its highs they are fucking HIGH.

ok back to work I'll have more commentary later surely, lol.

I think I like Fight With Seymour much less than I used to. It might be on the outside of my personal top 100, too. OWA is still legit, but I don't think it'd be in my top ten.

Love the AC version of that one, too.

Maybe it's partly the nostalgia

I only really got into 7 with 7R, and this track still hits. Same with the 7 battle theme. Equal to the X battle theme for me (which has tons of nostalgia)

And yeah basically none of the vocal songs ever hit with me (though I love the cheesiness of Real Emotion and Otherworld) so it's interesting to see someone who actually likes those

I like the vocal songs quite a bit. It's funny, because as a kid I hated musicals. Like 14 year old me would've hated No Promises To Keep. But now... I don't know I've mellowed out on them. I think it started with Frozen. My kids love that movie. Like more than is healthy. And so now it's grown on me a bit. But as a kid? Man I hated Disney movies cause there was 'too much singing'.
