The 3DS port with it's 30fps battles, hit in graphics quality and lack of multiplayer is ass, lol. A modern tales of abyss re-release in the best case scenario would be based off the NA PS2 version (since this one has additions over the japanese version) with the only major negative of it the load times being cut down. A real surprise would be grabbing the voice actors that is still possible to get to (and if not getting replacements) voice the skits like with the japanese voices. It's like FFXIII levels of pay off that probably isn't worth it. It's such a odd game. I wanted to replay it someday but the language the phonons. The scripture. Looks like it's also coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Steam. AceMos posted... berseria has the best battle system IMO Berseria's battle system is my most hated in the franchise so far. I will never do a second playthrough of that game because of the battle system. Luke is fantastic and I initially hated him but the group of characters grew more than any of the other Tales games. Graces biggest issue is the music is abysmal and so is the dungeon design. Often awful droning sounds with no actual music, the dungeon design is a bunch of copy paste hallways and it was just completely jarring to me. I also recall having to run back and forth and back and forth a bunch since there's no world map and just hallways. And I HATED the story and characters. It is just "the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!" trope taken to 11. I'm not saying Tales games have typically great stories, but this one just grated me immensely. There is almost no reason to interact with the equipment system unless someone plays on hyper difficult but it cluttered my inventory and I had to do something with it. So I wasted hours managing my inventory. I personally think Graces F is the pinnacle of the series and the most fun I ever had. For all the complaints about everything outside of battle I was fine with it. I actually enjoyed the cast and really enjoyed some of the characters. Ok the Sophie cant remember my past angle is a total trope but honestly Im fine with that and it almost is like comfort food to me to have something so familiar in an rpg. Its what I grew up on and loved about RPGs. Also I LOVE the kid aspect portion before we see them grow up some. I really liked that. The color palette of this game is absolutely gorgeous. Nice and saturated bright colors. Beautiful. Battles system was super fun. I liked the way cooking was handled with the eleth mixer. I really liked the dualizing aspect and I loved being able to equip titles to impact abilities/stats. This game was perfection to me and I loved getting the platinum trophy. With that being said I dont care about remasters and being able to play games I already played. But for anyone who hasnt played this they get a real treat in my opinion.
