I think the worst of it, as far as the US is concerned, is just apparent it is now how susceptible the US is to political manipulation and interference. Amongst a lot of terrible internal policies that Trump has been at the heart of, is the likelyhood that the American political system was heavily comprised by Russian interests and would have been primed to sit back and let Putin trample across Ukraine.
