It's weird, people keep reporting that BG&E2 is still being worked on. I don't get why it hasn't been dropped by now.

I just wish I knew for sure if silksong was next year so I could feel comfortable counterpicking it in fantasy

What is CPK, and why is Hades II worth 0?

Counterpick - You pick a game that someone else has that you think will do bad (or not release). Keeps them from dropping it and you get points below 70 and lose points above 70. My general strategy is to pick games I know aren't getting released this year.

Hades II is in early access and hasn't officially released, and it won't release this year, so despite it having some reviews, it is still a zero point game.

It's why if I was certain silksong won't be stealth dropped, I would counterpick that too

But you also don't get any points for the counterpick because it isn't below 70, either. Or do you straight-up get 70 points for that?

Normal scoring is 1 point for every opencritic score 70-90 and 2 points for every opencritic score 91+

Counterpicks you lose 1 point 70-90, lose 2 points 90+. Plus 1 point for 70-50, 2 points below 50.

But most people don't pick games that are going to bomb so you almost always lose points on a counterpick. Which is why I shoot for games that I think aren't releasing, where you just get a zero. (If you don't pick a counterpick it is -15 at the end of the season)
