To be fair, there's no way she was personally responsible for the economy tanking in such a short amount of time. Though iirc she said some stupid things that caused markets to downturn a bit.

This was her brain child and promoting it was literally why conservative party members voted her over Sunak

The Bank of England literally had to step in to stop the economic collaspe of the UK.

There's a lot of grey in politics but Liz Truss being the worst Prime Minister in history (and probably that were ever will be) is about as black and white as it gets. There's no way to defend her. Even the chuds could not defend her, and they openly defend Trump, Musk and Tate.

And just to add to this, to this day Truss claims her budget was actually brilliant and everyone else is just too stupid to comprehend it. To the extent of threatening to sue people over it.

Why would anyone buy a book written by her?

Contest didnt start once she became prime minister, I think it started in the first days after the disastrous mini-budget.

Maybe it's a thing of being too obvious to mention, but I've never seen anyone comment on Liz Truss sounding like lettuce.

She did an impressive amount of damage for someone in office for 49 days. She wiped billions off the economy simply by existing. Every economist told her that her plans would be a disaster, even Rishi Sunak warned against it!

We're still feeling the effects of her damage and that's going to continue likely for decades

She also routinely says and promots stupid harmful shit that results in suffering and death

People hate her because she's a genuinely bad person who has caused direct harm onto the world.

If anything people don't hate her enough because the news cycle moves on so fast. So now we get "Well it's not her fault she destroyed the economy."

The most you could say in her favour was that she was the puppet of the nasty extreme right wingers at the IEA think tank. She combined stratospheric ambition with little to no ability.

Honestly the whole lettuce thing probably distracts people enough so that she's not pelted with produce wherever she goes.

If you don't want this banner reminding you that you were outlasted by a head of lettuce and crashed the economy due to right wing brain rot politics....don't do exactly those things.

She can't even argue that she didn't do those things, she can only tone police our response to it. This is on the very mild end of what she earned through her actions.
