My gf and i have done a few casual async games over bga and I like that style a lot more than real time games. Gives you time to really evaluate your possible moves.

In my experience, chess is one of those games where skill difference is really obvious. You can have entire chains of A can never beat B who can't beat C, etc.

You definitely can in the age of distributed services. But it's weird to claim a ddos attack when you have 800k legitimate users trying to watch the stream. That's much bigger than your typical ddos.

In other words, it's definitely a ddos but not an attack, just a standard overwhelmed server. For context, zoom requires specific engineering support to allow 200k listeners for Kamala a couple weeks ago.
