They don't understand that there needs to be a push from all fronts. Yeah, it's still genocide and voting won't help all too much in the short term (rather it being harm reduction). We need to shift the Overton window farther away from genocide being acceptable as best we can, which takes time, and can be regressed with a right wing leader.

I'm really not surprised the Nina Turner and Briahna Joy faction of the left is per usual finding reasons people shouldn't vote.

I wouldn't vote on this issue, none of the candidate are offering a solution(IE stop giving Israel billions in weapons if they don't stop now).

I have zero confidence in Harris on this issue, and quite bluntly going back to her 2020 failed run, I don't really expect much from her.

If you care about this issue, you need to care each and every cycle and during the primaries, otherwise nothing will change.

How do you suggest doing that when liberals repeatedly assert that they see "genocide is acceptable and not a dealbreaker" as a perfectly valid and reasonable statement?

I can't believe I have to explain how to write the English language but here we go.

The quotes are being used to describe the "people" of that sentence as only having one issue. In this case that issue is "genocide". Thus being known as the "genocide" people.

If I were to write "genocide people" it insinuates I am speaking about the people commiting genocide.

But let's make it easier and replace "genocide" with "taxes" for this next example. It is the same way that people whose only issue is "taxes", would be known as the single issue "taxes" people.

If I wrote "taxes people" it would insinuate I am referring to the IRS.

And yes, every quotation was used correctly in every instance above.

What are you talking about? FDR in the 30s was pretty great. Johnson showed moral strength to deliver on Civil Rights. Carter was good. I think Obama was good. Biden has delivered more for progressives than anybody wouldve guessed in 2020.

I'm not a democrat (neither am I a republican), and Harris has not impressed me in the slightest bit. I'm no fan of hers, and will not be donating to her campaign. BUT, Trump has shown where he stands with Israel/Palestine. He has shown what kind of president he is going to be because he was president before. I don't know what kind of president Harris will be, but I honestly have nothing against her, so she has no bad marks on her record by me. In contrast with Trump, there's really nothing anyone can say to convince me he's better. He's already shown what he can be, and that is disgusting.
