Tonight I'm expecting another flashback this time with clarity.

Also here's Leslye Headland being a huge Elden Ring nerd.

Welp, I was mistaken on my guess.

Probably my favorite episode yet. Just so much tension and great character interactions.

And the symbolism is very on display in that Osha woke up completely free and Mae woke up in bindings.

So Sol is probably the primary figure behind a massacre and none of the Jedi above him had any clue.

The ineptitude of the Jedi Council appears to span generations.

That seems to be the insinuation. The twist might be that she whipped him accidentally while protecting him from an attacker or something. Maybe another flashback?

I love that this show is nowhere close to where I thought it was going five episodes ago

Okay this theory is bonkers...

From the synopsis of the novel, Darth Plagueis

Thirty-five years earlier, Darth Plagueis and his Bith Sith Master, Darth Tenebrous, are in a cave on the Outer Rim planet Bal'demnic to examine its natural cortosis deposits, which are being mined without the knowledge of either the Republic or the Jedi Order. Tenebrous plans to use the cortosis' natural resistance to lightsaber blades in his future attempts to overthrow the Jedi and replace the Republic with a Sith-controlled Empire in accordance with Darth Bane's Grand Plan. During the investigation, the mining EM-Two probe droid, against Tenebrous' orders, begins digging for an explosive lethane pocket next to a cortosis vein, prompting the two Sith to rush back to their ship and escape the resulting explosion. Ultimately, the explosion occurs before they make it back to the ship. Tenebrous is able to use the Force to contain the blast so that it does not kill the two Sith, while Plagueis makes sure that their ship is not destroyed by the impact of the blast.

From the entry on Darth Plagueis

Both Plagueis and Tenebrous had waited a long time for that momentthe latter had hoped that his apprentice would have made his move years earlier, and was happy to finally be allowed the chance to implement his secret scheme, while the former had wanted to carry the Grand Plan to completion alone, without being burdened with the formalities of the Banite system. As Plagueis reached out in the Force to study Tenebrous's dying midi-chlorians, the maxi-chlorians carrying the Bith's intelligence slipped out of his body undetected and infected a wound on the Muun's lower back, caused by a rock or some other projectile.

Um. Are we doing this? It's obviously different in several places but holy shit if they're setting it up that Qimir is Plagueis.

Plagueis was a Muun, not human. And I would expect that Cortosis is found on several planets.

So we have Osha being corrupted, and Mae being deprogrammed. Pretty good twists so far.

She's been featured in High Republic books and comics. If you Google her, you'll find pics pretty easily.

This next episode is probably it though, particularly given Sol is setting up to spill.

man hearing how some people still not understand why mea isn't turning herself in shows people need everything spelled out for them ofc she would change her mind turning in to the jedi after she saw her master showed up and kicked their ass hard plus it didn't help one of them throw salt to her wound by accusing her of killing her family and her seeing her sister being brainwashed so killing sol was going to be back on the menu after that

The scene was absolutely packed with clues about who gave him that scar.

Osha asked him what he wants. He says "The power of two." Sith apprentices almost always train their own follower before attempting to overthrow their master.

"Looks like someone stabbed you in the back."

"Someone who threw me away." Sith stab people in the back, sith throw away their apprentices.

She asks if a jedi did it. He's making a point not to lie to her. He wants to let her think the jedi could have done this to him, so to remain honest he has to stay silent.

All signs are pointing to him being a sith apprentice that was cast aside. He needs help to grow stronger and overthrow his former master. That would probably be Tenebrous or Plagueis. I don't know much about Plaguis, but if his schtick is to be a solo sith it would make sense that he'd abandon apprentices. If Qimir ands up almost defeating him with the help of Osha or Mae, then it might drive him to keep an apprentice again to defend against such attacks. Which would lead to him eventually picking up Sheev.

The fact that he's never used the word "apprentice" to describe the partner he's looking for implies he's not the sith master.

So, this Senator Rayencourt, could he be the Sith master? Palpy not being the first Sith in the Senate would make sense.

Do you count Visions? Because there was one sith with Grievous style extra artificial arms who wielded 6 at once. This battle took place on the deck of an Imperial I or II class Star Destroyer (didn't pay attention to the sensor array shape). As in, yes, on TOP of the ship's hull. I guess, at least in Visions, the shields of a star destroyer can keep air near the vessel.

But again, this is visions. Which also had the blatant Japanese-ronin with the umbrella-saber and everything. Visions had some fun stuff.

Nah, in the last episode, he said

"I want a pupil. An acolyte."

I think he's either Plagueis or Venamis or an unknown apprentice of either Plagueis or Tenebrous.

I think Vernestra was his Jedi master. She's acting way too suspicious and shook right now. For a minute I thought she would find and kill Sol in some attempt to cover all this up.

Vernestra already had a student in canon. His name was Imri, he looks nothing like qimir and is a blonde/brunette white guy.

Its possible she could've had another as this evidently takes place long after those events but doesn't seem entirely likely.

Imri was a full 100 years before this show. It's the same amount of time between this show and TPM.

Exactly. Two synonyms, specifically avoiding the word "apprentice." They need to overthrow the actual sith master before they can become "master and apprentice."
