Felt like they were running out of ideas.

i was getting kind of bored. Also I think the suspense wouldve been better if it had more important character relations than just strangers and a cat.

That Long Legs movie looks really good though

the first one only worked as a one off. They really shouldn't have tried to make this a franchise.

I'm still not sure what chronologically the difference is between Day One and Part ll is. Didn't they literally show the invasion in Part 2?

The short flashback in Part 2 and this movie would be at the same time. Not confusing at all.

That's the thing though, I'm not confused about the timeline, I'm confused as to what the point of this movie is considering we already have a good idea of what it was.

Admittedly that is a good question. Spoilers for the premise and structure of the movie but not the plot per se:

It is focusing on new characters and has a somewhat interesting story. However, there is a short lapse of time after the invasion happens and then everyone somehow already knows to be quiet and that sight lines don't matter. Not only does it not make sense that people would learn this so fast during a crazy invasion, it also makes it play out exactly in the same manner as the main movies.

Also we aren't given any info about the aliens or the invasion. Not that we need it, but all of this means that the movie isn't really necessary at all. Still entertaining though, if a little samey,
