gu-gohan 06/27/24 11:33:47 PM #1:	Anyone knows Biden is too old. I wished the Dems had a younger candidate. But his age isn't a threat that affects me directly/negatively. Trump is, but not Biden. What matters is the policy Biden stands for. His policy is not perfect, but still a thousand times better than Trump's policy. It really annoys me when people make fun of Biden all the time. Like, what is their goal? Don't they realize what's at stakes here? Besides, Trump deliberately says lies and bullshit all the time to gain power. It makes me sad to then see journalists/ pundits just accept that framing and amplify it. It is what it is I guess. Obama won because of his tremendous charisma and ability to make a good speech, not because of his policy. Hillary lost because she focused hard on policy and completely failed in actual community outreach by literally failing to visit the voters in several states. Oh sure, it works fine for the Democrat primaries because the only people who vote in primaries are the ones who care about policy. But in the general? No, it's optics, it's charisma, it's who they think will make their lives better. And Biden can't even muster the ability to stand on a stage and not look like a zombie, much less sell his vision on how to make people's lives better. If a cold, a simple cold, is enough to make Biden this ineffective, then he has no business being the most powerful person in the country. The DNC fucked us over by coalescing around him 4 years ago, and they fucked us over by refusing to even consider pressuring him to commit to only a single term. And if that's the best our party can do, yet another old zombie who refuses to step aside to help the younger generations come into their own to lead the country and set up the future for success, then they don't deserve to lead that future either.
