Come to any 4 way stop or roundabout and theres guaranteed to be at least one dumbass who has no idea what theyre doing

I yield to the car on my right

Yesterday I was at a stop sign at an intersection. Some dumbass in a truck who had no stop sign stopped and stared at me. I was like ok, should I go now or is he going to wise up and hit me? Why the fuck is he stopped?

There's a road near my house with an intersection with a right turn lane that has a concrete divider separating it from the rest of the intersection that extends into a dedicated lane into the road that you're turning on with a big white sign that says "KEEP MOVING" and fucking everyone stops there anyway.

I have to cross an intersection after leaving my place of work at the end of day, and it's shocking how many drivers don't yield to the pedestrian right-of-way and will turn even when I'm trying to cross.

I live in a small town of just over 6,000 people. We have six intersections with traffic lights at the moment. Last year a seventh was removed, in favor of a two-way stop sign. The main street has no stop signs at that intersection but the other street has signs from either direction. It was chaos for the bumpkins in town. They had no idea what to do and criticized the town for the switch. They said the stop signs are stupid and cause accidents. I argued that it's the people that are stupid and cause accidents.

Some issues are because of design problems. If a 2way stop has a big hedge blocking view of one of the stops, commercial drivers are going to slow to a crawl because a crash that's not their fault can still make them lose their job.

The last turn before my work parking lot is a 1 lane roundabout near a grocery store. For some reason, there are no yield signs anywhere. If you follow the rules and just keep turning without stopping you're going to get hit by assholes who don't yield.

There's a 4 way I usually have to go through near the house. Always with the "good Samaritan" old man in a truck trying to wave you on even though they've been sitting there since before I got to the sign.

Just follow the rules of the road please sir.

i routinely have people honk at me for proceeding thru an intersection with only 2 stop signs. i slow to make sure no one is going, and they assume im stopping because all EVERYONE does here is rolling stops at stop signs. i fully stop.

I live adjacent to a busy stroad (3 lanes + a parking lane in both directions) that has a button to turn on pedestrian flashers for crossing

speed limit is 25 but people regularly go 40-50+ because of the design of the road, and the number of people who blow through the crosswalk even after weve pressed the button and stepped into the parking lane is absolutely infuriating

Most people in the US didn't grow up with them. So it is a completely different sort of traffic control.
There's one near me instead of a 4 way stop and I legit miss the 4 way stop.

There are absolutely people who don't understand that pedestrians have the right of way, and I'm sure it overlaps with people who speed in parking lots.

I'll do that exclusively if I'm stopping at a light anyway.

Like, stop ten feet sooner and let the person get their nose out.

Only if it's definitely one person, I've had one or two occasions where idiots in the parking lot think it means "slam on the gas and get six of us out as fast as possible."

Left-turn arrows. Everyone just sits there when they turn green until the car behind them honks, everyone runs them after they turn red.

if two cars arrive at opposite sides at the same time who has the right of way?

I've noticed people get really, REALLY mad if you stop at a green light for an intersection that you won't be able to get through due to traffic. Like dude, if I go like you want me to, you and me are gonna be right in the middle of the intersection when the other light turns green

If they're both going straight or turning right, they won't get in each others' way. Otherwise, whoever is turning left yields.

you yield to whoever is already on the roundabout. if the flow of traffic is stopped and the lane you would normally yield to wont enter for any reason (or even if they are creeping in slowly entering) its fine to enter so long as whoever you do have to yield to doesnt have to slow down or swerve to avoid you
