Beyonce really did make one of the best videos of all time.

I don't agree in the way he expressed this opinion, but I do agree that it's both a legendary video and better than Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me video.

There's zero imagination whatsoever. 3 women all in black leotards dancing and the dance isn't even interesting. single take. no background. And Beyonce has a weird glove thing on. They couldn't even bother to add color or something. It's such a shit video there's fucking amateur shit on YouTube that's better.

The things I like about it are that it's (seemingly) one take, it has interesting choreography, they're all skilled in performing it, and it's just so minimal and memorable that it kinda makes you focus on the lyrics while watching some dance. She could've made a different music video with a scene describing each moment she's singing about, but it's really just a cool commitment to dance and the routine and vibe that she's really delivering this message. And just an homage to old style 50's music videos with just (3) women standing and singing, The Ronettes and The Supremes for example. The glove is weird but notice that it completely shields her from having any semblance of a ring on her left ring finger.

Reminds me of Journey's "Separate Ways" video. They bring An Energy, but it's not a good video and no one needed it.

I mean, I thought Beyonce was sexy in that video, too, but I don't think it was anywhere near the greatest music video of all time lol. I think you need more than erotic dancing for that.
