But I saw the updated Japanese script and they make it pretty clear the character is trans now, I don't think you can make a reasonable argument that isn't the intention. And again the original game was 20 years ago. US went from trans is unacceptable and needs to be censored out of games, to trans is acceptable in media in that time.
