X men 97 is so much more mature in the way it narrates the story. While the OG was dark at time for a kid show, we can see the passion the writers had for 97. I am also glad Jubilee and Jean have a bigger impact in fights. Storm and Wolverine were the best in the OG, but seeing other characters shine is great

Did anybody else do the same? What was your impressions.

That show is directly responsible for people not realizing how much of a fuckin' powerhouse Jubilee really is.

Those crackles are literally nuclear.

I want to but don't think I can set aside the time. I remember Wolverine being more prominent in the original series, though.

I hope they make her do combos with teamates next season. Nightcrawler and Wolverine was amazing

He and storm both were. Although it's probably the best we got out of storm for years. BeauDeMayo said he didn't want the show to be the Wolverine show and while I like Wolverine, other mutants need to shine. I feel like he will have more presence in season 2 though

Yeah. This is usually how it is when we get newer action cartoons made these days that debuts on streaming services compared to the past when they had to deal with network censors on cable TV (I still give credit for those who made it work like with batman the animated series, but others like spider-man and x-men was held back a bit. Like you said jubilee couldn't really do much in those days).

I was loving thundercats 2011 compared to the original version for the same reason.....man its a damn shame thundercasts 2011 was cancelled for merchandise/toy sales reasons

I love how they showed what she's capable of when she meets her potential in episode 4. That was cool af.

Personally they could have handled that a lot better in my opinion. She did more damage to bastion alone in just two hits than the entire X man combined. Hell a full power optic blast from cyclops didnt even scratch the guy.

Some comic book fans said the OG show didn't do her justice(I did not read them though so I dunno)

my fianc and I are almost done with the OG series. we'll definitely be able to start watching 97 this week.

It was definitely hinted at that she was more powerful than usually shown. It's just that she was young hadn't fully developed her powers.

I legit couldn't get into the reboot. It was just so corny with it's characters and story. It seemed ripe with potential for a darker more mature story. I'd love a full reboot, divorced from any previous iteration. I have this in wallpaper folder and it always reminds me.
