not saying I don't like being there for people, but having people rely on me for the rest of my life like that feels pretty scary.

Women have wanted absolutely nothing to do with me romantically, and I still dont make grownup money. Im in my late 30s and honestly I just dont see things turning around for me. Im completely braindead when it comes to trying to figure out a career, and I cant imagine any woman having the patience to deal with some 36 year old guy with the dating experience of a middle schooler

Thats not to say Im unhappy and not enjoying my life. I just find joy in atypical things I guess.

Having a nephew who in my life has really made me want children even more.

I knew back in high school that I definitely wanted to be a father. That was 1996. I have two wonderful kids; a girl and a boy. They're healthy, intelligent, and talented. My son, for example, is finishing up second grade. He has built websites, a message board, and programmed stuff with Scratch (MIT.) My daughter's school just gave out awards to seventh and eighth grade students for doing Scratch. He taught himself to read and spell before starting kindergarten, not with ABC Mouse or whatever but by playing Xbox. They're my whole world.

Im torn.

On the one hand, I feel guilty that my parents dont have grandchildren and it would be great to have someone to leave all the stuff Ive worked for to when I die instead of having no idea what to do with it.

On the other hand, raising kids seems life ruining and a major pain in the ass. Doubly so ifas is the case with meyou cant drive to take them to extracurriculars.

Its a moot point though as Im 38, barely get out to meet anyone, and have terrible social skills.

I'm approaching 40 and I've yet to hold a girl's hand. Doesn't matter if I want them or not sadly.
