edit: oops, not quite. i just hit "start" and it adds 30s to whatever time was there, or starts fresh at 0:30. so i only hit one button.

I just press the start button, which adds 30 seconds and starts cooking. And that goes for longer times too. Need to cook for 5 minutes? Just spam that button 10 times

I think there's a time cook button somewhere in the gazillions of presets I don't use (who tf microwaves tiramisu?!) but as I don't have time to look for it, I'll generally hit 1 and just hope I come back in thirty seconds to stop it.

When I was a kid, the microwave at my parents' house was glorious. You just I put the numbers sequentially and hit start. Thirty seconds would be 3-0 start. A minute and a half would be 1-3-0 start.

Then microwaves all collectively decided to be stupid as hell and I have struggled with them ever since.
