I loved the original three movies and sort of didnt vibe with the newer Episodes. Then I randomly saw Solo Story, which led to Rogue One. Then I saw Andor and two seasons of the Mandalorian. Now Im really back into it and might give the other movies another try. I sort of want to know more about Baby Yoda and Im looking forward to The Mandalorian and Grogu (or whatever its going to be called).

I have seen the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett and Ive also got the Obi Wan Kenobi series and Ahsoka. I can honestly say that Andor and The Mandalorian are two of my favorite shows right now.

the non-main saga movie stuff is mostly mediocre to good, which I'd count as an improvement

There are tons of good arcs and ideas in the EU, but theyll probably never be touched, sadly.

Andor is GOATed. Couldn't make it past the first episode of Obi-Wan.

I still havent started that one, but it might be nice to learn some back story.

If theyre making stuff that I like, then I want them to know that I like the direction theyre going.

Andor is fricken awesome.

If you want a little more background on Baby Yoda, check out the Bad Batch. It's a cartoon but it's pretty well done. Takes place right after Revenge of the Sith. This season has been working hard to give some backstory to the Post RotJ timeline.

Everything outside of the sequel trilogy is mostly fine all things considered.

I genuinely think Disney is handling it better than Lucas would have.

I will say Boba Fett ended up feeling completely pointless to be another show and should have just been the third season of Mandalorian. And it seems like they know it too.

Yeah, Boba Fett was a real disappointment. Andor is the best Disney Star Wars show, though.

Ive only seen a few of the Boba Fetts (Im going to finish it before season 3 of The Mandalorian), but I dont have a problem with it so far.

this. Mandalorian S1 and S2 are sort of fun but pretty shallow.

what really gets me about what Disney is doing is that the potential of Star Wars is almost limitless, but they stick to revisiting stories and characters we already know about. the most 'original' character (Mando) is just a rehash of another established one.

stop explaining things to death. we don't need entire movies explaining every single interesting facet of a character (see Solo), we don't need an entire series going into six hours of explanation of something that was mentioned in the OT. stop showing us flashes of familiar faces. stop banking on nostalgia and do something original FFS.
