Also, what a weak ass argument people are putting toward on behalf of supposed poor struggling girls trying to get themselves through college. You realize male college attendance is the declining statistic? And that stripping isn't nearly as profitable for 18-20 y/o men? Please quit acting like you really care about women of that age range. This law is gender neutral on its face and I highly doubt it was intended to put young women at a relative disadvantage than their male peers.

I'm not saying I'm cool with this direction, but it's far less concerning than many other things the state is doing, and less concerning than society's (read: people like this board's regular posters) fixation on issues like this over issues that actually threaten the livelihood of ALL young people down the road.

Florida caring more about this and passing all these useless at best, outright harmful at worst social bills instead of how awful their state is in important issues is exactly the problem that's leading to that. There might be something to say about society with how controversial subjects get more talk than things people are unanimous about. I don't agree with this bill but I also think it's one of the least damaging political decisions Florida is making for itself and the rest of the country right now. I also wish older Americans cared enough about younger Americans so that stripping wasn't such a commonplace need to just get by for so many. I fear an economy where young people need to resort to sex work just to get by because old people are the ones with the money and don't want to let go of it so easily.

I just made a topic about scientists expecting major disruptions and global warming if governments don't act after the previous one with a vague title purged and I'm doing the same to my topic too. That doesn't mean this stupidity shouldn't be called out either. I highly doubt these issues are taking our attention away from things as big as climate change either. It's stuff like the wars and especially the economy which is the main reason the environment is being neglected, no, destroyed, that's on the top of people's minds.
