Felt like it was initially what inspired Megamind but then it goes in another direction.

Thanks for reminding me of this. The ending got spoiled for me by a Cracked article, like, ten years ago so it didn't hit me that hard but boy, what a thing.

At the time Neil Patrick Harris was well into HIMYM and gaining huge popularity for his character, so him doing this for free was especially something.

Funny thing about that, I was reading up on it and nph once made a joke years ago about how maybe if there's another strike they'll finally be able to do a sequel.

Then lo and behold another strike did happen.

Been such a long time since I saw this I do not remember a single thing about it. The perfect time to watch it again.

im in the same boat here. And i loved it back when it came out. Would listen to the soundtrack a lot.

but yes, cant remember much of it now haha

I doubt it will ever happen. I think a lot of the actors won't work with Joss Whedon anymore.
