I have no spur to prick the side of my intent, but only vaulting ambition, which o'erleaps itself and falls on the other.

what was Maher's analysis, though - being pro-Palestinian is the same thing as being pro-Hamas?

anyway, no one is saying their views are more valid; just that they should have the right to peacefully protest.

While i would be for the protests more if there wasn't so much hamas proppganda also being thrown around i wouldnt lump all of them together to say them protesting for the Palestinians is the same as hamas.

Its still strange to me i dont see more protests against the ai being used to name targets, find them, decide the acceptable casualties, and executing them in what is basically genocide. They are training ai to do this in war now and that isnt really brought up as an issue anywhere.

Burr said he was on the side of the kids - meaning the protesters - and then Maher turned it around that he meant the victims and was like "Yeah, the kids dying are bad, but it comes down to hard decisions"

Not only did he alter or misinterpret what his argument was, he still disagreed with the narrative he came up with for Burr in the worst possible way.

Maher hasn't had any pushback on his claims that anyone who doesn't like Netanyahu is an Anti-Semite or is pro Hamas, so of course he was shocked when someone told him no.

Way back in the day, he had this semi often mid episode segment called 'dispatches from the bubble' and it was basically exposing Fox News (at the time they were the only major right wing network), and it was asinine shit they'd feed their consumers that people outside that bubble would have never heard. This is kinda like that. He's inside his bubble so far, that he doesn't understand how anyone could view anything differently, because the media he consumes is telling him that 19 year old students are really the bad guys, not the ones who've caused 80% of Palestinians in Gaza to be homeless.

it's one of those things where, if you're criticizing someone/other people for something, then how have you justified, in any way, that what you have to say is somehow more meaningful.
