I didnt even know they did point of sale tax credit. I thought it was something that happened when you file or at a later date.

Definitely a good deal.

Oh wow, that's really low. I got mine for to 2.5% back in 2020, 5 year loan. I'll probably pay mine off early later this year though (I know I know, it's financially a bad choice), just to get the monthly payment off our minds.

Definitely fuck Elon though. My opinion of him tanked so hard these last few years. After he bought Twitter he just became a huge right wing toolbag.

Yeah originally the rules were that only a narrow sliver of really wealthy suburbanites would get the credit. (Their voters)

Shocked they finally did something helpful for everyone else.

I wouldnt buy a Tesla because the guy who runs the company is a crackhead. The fact that theyre constantly being recalled should be a warning.

In today's society, its kind of impossible to escape people like musk. We're in late stage capitalism, no matter what you do you are supporting multiple billionaire fucks. At least the car itself isnt pumping carbon into an already over heated Earth.

It's really not even Musk, Tesla's just have such a shitty build quality that even with an amazing CEO doing all the right things no one should buy one.

It's been good so far. It's our main car and we've taken it in many road trips and stuff and it's been good. I mean, lol I wish I could have gotten it for cheaper. I got mine before those crazy price increases of 2021-2022 or so, and I never recommended it for those prices.

For the price these days and the improvements in build quality, I think it's a good buy if you're able to charge at home.

Theyre not. Youve just been finessed into caring about every minor software update and 1mm off panel gap because the media knows youll click and big oil funds stories that prime you into hating their biggest threat.

You sleep while half of all Mustang Es are recalled due to cheap wiring leading to a sudden loss of power and braking while driving. Or every Bolt being recalled for years while warning you to not park them near buildings because they explode. Or Toyota recalling all 5 million cars for the exact same reason the Cyber truck is.

The guys who run other companies are every bit as evil and would be up next in the rotating villains of Bezos, Zuckerberg, Musk, ____. Its the system thats the problem.

Musk laying off the entire team that builds and maintains the supercharging network makes me wonder how long Tesla will be around.

The supercharging network has always been the best reason to buy a Tesla over another EV.

Its the evil compounded with his massive incompetence that makes me not want one.

At the end of the day Honda is an actual company so I can at least rely on things to be handled in a uniform fashion.

And lets be real. The reason the price is being cut is because he has sales problems.

model y was the best selling car worldwide last year actually.
I think the cuts is because there is going to be a juniper refresh in the next 6 months to a year, and the inventory stock is high

Those billionaires are all equally incompetent too. I can go into detail on each of them. Musk is just more publicly cringe.

Honda is so incompetent theyre currently paying GM to make cars for them. Maybe the most mismanaged company in auto. I have deep nostalgia for civics, but each generation Ive owned has been physically recalled for several issues and to this day every 8th gen driving around is an eyesore due to paint thats completely eroded.

Ive owned a 3, a Y, and an S and never been part of recalls that I routinely experienced with Honda and others. Teslas far from perfect, far from good, but we gotta stop pretending legacy auto has a single clue of what theyre doing.

And as mentioned, the Y is the best selling car in the world. If they got problems, others have it worse.

That's a pretty good deal. My auto loan was 2.85% on mine, but I went through a credit union to finance it.

Yeah, the only physical recall I've had on my Model S in the 4 years I've had it is one for the front trunk latch. There was some thing about them possibly not functioning properly. Tesla sent someone to my house to check it and mine wasn't affected. I've never had an issue with it. Everything else was just software recalls that were handled via over the air software updates.

I've had a few software bugs here and there, but nothing major. I also had an issue with the trim on the door not fitting properly, but Tesla sent someone out to fix that under warranty.

Edit: I also had an issue with the actuators that control the cabin air temperature protection going out, but that was also fixed under warranty.

Sadly $500-550 payments on top of Michigan insurance is above what I can comfortably afford.

That and my current vehicle is fully paid and working without issues still.

Thats another thing, the mobile service is great. I use em for tire repair when Im on the stock foams most places wont touch.

My only service center trip was to align a panel gap on the Y that I wouldnt have noticed if not for the memes. Free of charge in an hour.

Id have no car for a week (or 2!) whenever my Civics were recalled and was on my own to get a rental.
