I was just joking, tbh.

but a lot of people get into smoking because they think they might look as cool/glamorous as the models, actors, etc. they see doing it.

To prevent neurological diseases of course.

I never understood it until I used nicotine pouches a few times. (WARNING: Nicotine is an addictive chemical.)

It is what makes them cool

They need to practice for roles that require smoking

Because they get bored waiting around all the time. Models and actors get a lot of that.

I used to smoke a lot when bored.

Smoking feels amazing, like, uh, lifting weights

I was given a cigarette when I was a kid by someone who I thought could be a friend (you know how kids can be easily fooled and I hate that)
this friend was also still a kid but about 3 years older

after that I gained weight rapidly. Now I have a terrible heart and anxiety problems after the things I went through
got back into smoking when I was 17 cause one day I was mysteriously getting the anxious feelings that I thought would go away if I had a smoke. It worked

took 16 years to finally get tired of it and quit.

I dont believe any of that cause it makes you look cool nonsense and hardly anyone does

Cigarettes curb your appetite and gives your mouth something to do other than eat when bored.

That's why models are infamous for smoking, to maintain their figure.

For actors there's a history of Hollywood and cigarettes for "looking cool", and I guess some who respect older actors want to emulate that.

It's not necessarily for looking cool , nicotine is also a mild stimulant. I imagine actors have long days and nights, sometimes caffeine doesn't cut it so they add smoking to give them that boost. If that combo doesn't work that's when they delve into amphetamines and cocaine.

The only reason smoking hasn't been completely eradicated in the States is because it objectively looks cool as fuck
