Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, has been the target of a nuclear weapon attack in Fallout 76. A disgruntled player decided to express their displeasure at the recent closure of several studios owned by Microsoft in the multiplayer post-apocalyptic Bethesda game by dropping nukes on Spencers in-game camp.

Spencers gamer tag, P3, has long been public knowledge, and in 2018 he confirmed on X that its a nickname arising from the fact that he shares a name with his father and grandfather, so he was known as P3 at family events.

The attack was discovered by X user Sam_Snydes who posted Lmao someone nuked Phil Spencers camp in Fallout 76. Shortly after this, user real1090jake responded with just the word Guilty and a shrug emoji, accompanied by a screenshot of Spencers in-game avatar and a short video of the camp, coated in red radioactive fog.

I'm surprised it's not done more often. Is it hard to nuke camps in that game?

It takes a bit of effort. Need a key card, fight some waves of enemies, make your way into the silo.

Yeah, despite all of the hate it got at launch, it's a good game now with a very friendly community. I started playing it in 2023 and when I started, this random high level player gave me a ton of stimpacks, radaway, purified water and a gun with some ammo. And there are a lot of stories of new players getting free goodies like that.

This is the kind of pettiness that I live for

I'll sometimes come across a Trump supporter's camp. I think those are the only ones I'll go out of my way to nuke. They're always ugly box camps, with a tad bit of racism sprinkled in. Saw some fucker the other day with a "Timcast" sign. Didn't do anything to their camp. Just thought it was pathetic.

only I know is that after the fallout or something a bunch of monsters spawn in that area

I'll never forget when I saw a lvl 5 dude make his way to the final boss by accident. There was a dozen of other people in power armour running around him, keeping him alive and protected from the boss, while dropping tons of heals and ammo for him.

It's a very pleasant community. Like, when I started out, I was making weapons in my shack. When I turned around, there was a dude in power armour there, lvl1200. He just started dumping ammo, heals and plans down for me by the bucket load.

He then turned around, left my shack and flew off.

Apparently there's a guy that's made it his mission to just grind the hell out of the game. He's up to level 7,000 now without any glitches (there are people that are level 30,000+ through glitches)

From what I remember of this game, levels past a certain point mean little to nothing, especially once you have enough for every card you want in your build. Unlike previous games, levels also don't give you any increase to max HP, so even at level 1200+ you're still just about as killable as level 120.

For new players it can be. There's a questline pre-requisite. But once you finish that, you need to go into 1 of 3 military silos that will throw hundreds of security robots at you while you slowly break through the security clearances and make your way down.

The average time to do all of that solo is about 15-25 minutes. With no experience though, some players take over an hour. But usually, launching a nuke is done to trigger one of the bosses, not to grief players.
