PC no question

I also have the PC, PS5, and Switch combo. The PS5 is starting to become redundant since pretty much all but 5 or so games on it are also on PC, and there's not even a split screen multiplayer benefit to it.

There is rumors that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero might not have local multiplayer thanks to Microsoft and Sony.

It isn't official at the moment, so maybe it isn't true.

Yeah, I really don't buy this one at all. One of the biggest releases of last year baldur's gate 3 had split-screen, so if sony and microsoft was trying to interfere and prevent these devs from putting split-screen in the game just to sell more consoles and subscriptions then they definitely would have tried to pull it with baldur's gate 3 first.

When devs opt to make their games online only and to get rid of things like LAN, they do it because they want to do it, like with activision-blizz and diablo 3 compared to diablo 4 and diablo 2 remake. There is nothing stopping them for continuing to do their local thing like with gearbox and borderlands 3+the more recent tiny tina spin-off game.

If this rumor is actually true then the dudes they interviewed obviously is not trying to say anything to put heat on their bosses at bandai-namco and they know damn well gamers will kick up a storm on social media when influencers spread the world which could effect day 1 sales/pre-orders, so they are going to just shift the blame to sony and microsoft instead. (And honestly, its most likely going to work lol).

IMO, you're set for a few years. but instead of buying a PS6, build a PC.

What do you mean? There is games with a split-screen option (that the PC versions opts to not bother with at times) still coming out here and there. Like said tiny tina's wonderland game, and...well, fortnite (splitscreen supported on the playstation and xbox, not for mobile, switch, and PC) for example.

Man I gotta over $2k PC with a 4080, games like Dragons Dogma 2 and Starfield still struggled on it. Id hate to see how a $600 PC handles those games tbh.
Dragon's Dogma 2 plays perfectly fine on my PS5.

imagine complaining while still being able to play a 14 year old game originally released during the ps3/360 era.

Except I can't play it like I said before lol. Plenty of PS3/360 era games work natively off steam, but this is not one of them. At least not for me. I should not have to mod a game I bought directly from steam for 1hr+ just to be able to boot it, but that's just me. PC master race am I rite
