Man, Sasquatch is just kinda bad? Like Mockingbird is just a better version of a very similar premise. But I don't have her of course. Basically I'm just complaining because I can't get my 4 wins with him in a deck lol.

Just play a 4 drop and have a 5/10 next turn? It's not optimal but that's not bad either. Feels more like you're overthinking the card.

You play Mysterio and you get a 3/10. Just use it in a standard deck with Mysterio and play it as a 5/10 or a 3/10. No need for gimmicks.

That's... Pretty bad lol. There's a ton of 4/10 cards.

It's "bad" to play as 5/10 (all 4/10s are conditional, so not fair really) but you shouldn't be losing games over it. 5/10 is completely fine.

At least I got it done. I'll never understand why people take the proving grounds so seriously...

Got the Conquest Valkyrie variant

I was expecting it to be a bit worse. It wasn't that bad. I really recommend everyone who dislikes the mode but wants the stuff to just snap turn 1 every game and never retreat unless you mathematically can't win a game. You'll win a decent amount of games just playing them out and calling bluffs.

I am about sick of seeing Hela decks though

Thanos Stone Updates

Weve significantly updated the Infinity Stones to revolve around Thanos, as promised in a past patch. Our goal with this complement of changes is to position Thanos in such a way that the deck is less effective at becoming a shell for the strongest ramp-based strategies, as has been common in the past. We want to give Thanos decks their own distinct identity and to better fulfill the fantasy of aligning oneself with the Mad Titan. We are also aware of concerns that Spider-Ham can be too frustrating a counter to this strategy, as Thanos starts on the left side of the players hand. If necessary, well adjust the Ham to a functionality that is less disruptive.
Mind Stone

[Old] 2/1 On Reveal: Draw 2 1-Cost cards from your deck.
[New] 2/1 On Reveal: Draw 2 Stones from your deck.

Part of this set of changes does mean abandoning design space wed previously been interested to exploredistributing Infinity Stones with other game pieces. Our internal testing actually discovered that these designs were less exciting to many playtesters than they were to the internal design group, leading to other cards already changing. In fact, Black Swan at one point was summoning random Infinity Stones, but had to change for that very reason. As such, were returning Mind Stone to its previous Stone-specific function to better support Thanos.

Reality Stone
[Old] 1/1 On Reveal: Transform this location into a new one. Draw a card.
[New] 1/1 On Reveal: Replace this location with a new one.

Soul Stone
[Old] 1/1 Ongoing: Enemy cards here have -1 Power.
[New] 1/1 On Reveal: Draw a card. Ongoing: Thanos cant be discarded or destroyed.

Weve kept the cards drawn by all six Stones the same, shuffling a draw from Reality Stone to Soul Stone. This is because we want the Stones that risk having less effect drawing another Stone, and Reality Stone is a strong card on its own merits.

Space Stone
[Old] 1/1 Next turn, you can move one card to this location. Draw a card.
[New] 1/1 On Reveal: Draw a card. Ongoing: Nothing can stop you from playing or moving Thanos.

Time Stone
[Old] 1/1 On Reveal: Give Thanos -1 Cost next turn. Draw a card.
[New] 1/1 On Reveal: Give Thanos -1 Cost. Draw a card.

Weve strengthened Time Stonepart of our approach in the first place was to ensure that we weakened the Thanos deck enough to release its grip on the metagame. With that goal achieved, we believe the combination of all of these changes will let us add a bit more strength to Time Stone in particular, so that its more satisfying to play.

Move Update
Cards staged to move during a players turn will now resolve before cards reveal. Some examples of affected cards and locations include Nightcrawler, Cloak, and New York.

As mentioned earlier in the patch notes, weve updated card movement made during the staging portion of the turn to resolve before any cards reveal. This affects cards like Vision, but has no impact at all on cards like Iron Fist and locations like Bifrost. We made this change to resolve a number of confusing interactions. First and foremost, this is when the cards visually update already, so it just makes sense to line the resolution up with the game state being represented. Second, this addresses some weirdness unique to Ongoing cards. For technical reasons, Ongoing cards have been built to temporarily turn off when they change locations, in part due to the way these cards can have location-specific abilities and VFX. In the past, you may have heard of some tricky move-based ways to Enchantress a Cosmo, or duck Shang-Chi with Devil Dinosaurthose wont work anymore. There will be a handful of other minor impacts to this change. However, a general guideline of assume player-made moves will happen before everything else should lead you to the best sequencing for your cards.

the latter I think. so you could iron fist him into a prof x lane for example but he doesn't get a move on his own. (of course at that point you could just play him into the X lane but I digress)

so it's more like he gets the war machine effect rather than jeff aside from a few fringe cases

I think thats part of it. Nico is her own card and interesting. Kate is just a rehashing of existing cards, which is yes technically new in her own way, but also weve started on the point of redundancy.

I think this is a huge fuck-up and they need to be publicly shamed into fixing it. Like people spent a hundred fucking bucks on this! Just insane the way they're handling it.

Also in a hilarious display of incompetence, they fucked up Venom's catchphrase. He says "I am Venom" instead of "We are Venom" lol. Just a joke of a company tbh.

Thoughts on this stab at a deck incorporating Thena? Gilgamesh is there mostly bc hes new and Im sure Doom or Marvel are a better play, but occasional Gilgamesh on WongMyst is funny.

From what I can gather, the card change happened bc the artist did something controversial in a comic he was working on. But that controversy was several years ago???

1200 gold is a hard middle finger, but also theres no way SD doesnt do anything more with such strong backlash. It would be suicidal to fuck over their own whales like this.

I believe their logic was that there was plenty of other stuff in the $100 bundle like 8000 gold and whatever.

So the Gambit card was only valued at 1200 gold for being a premium variant.

Dumb logic because of course people are only buying the bundle to get the Gambit variant.

Also the variant was removed because the artist got cancelled but it happened 4 years ago so why even bother putting the variant in the game in the first place?

If its only worth 1200 gold then whenever they put those bundled variants on the shop they damn well better not be priced more than 1200 gold there!

Option A
Receive money back, PAY all currency received from Bundle (into negatives if needed), delete variant.

Option B
Receive no money back but gain 1200 gold and/or a selection of variants from other paid packs and don't pay any currency.

Like the game already has a mechanism for this in how the shops work.

Which is a shame because there's a Hela Variant I really wanted from a bundle but hell if I was gonna pay $50 for it.

I got Mirage from a Reserve so the only series 3 drop I need now is lolHoward. The rate cards drop is just way too slow though and 95% of new cards are series 5. Its a shame how long thats gonna make it take to collect much of anything new especially when Spotlights rerun the same select cards over and over to make it more annoying to get something new

They need to throw S4 back into Reserves now that nearly every new card is S5 and theres virtually no difference between the two anyways other than token cost

And my next Reserve was Howard. Welp Im S3 complete again already. Cant wait for the next drop in December or early 2025! Also is them pushing a new shop Variant on the main screen a new thing? Mine is advertising a new Carnage one with a button to go to the shop

Dont think Thena should count herself for +3 the first time shes played. With Hope her power can go up very very fast too. I wouldnt be surprised if she gets nerfed tbh
