Im not. In the least.

Just because you can explain one side without showing prejudice doesnt mean you support that side.

People in here, that I assume didnt read the article, jumped to the conclusion that the union was suing because they made the rule.

The union is suing because they werent allowed to negotiate what the punishment was.

Thats it. No bias from me saying they should win the suit. No bias from me either way. I dont know a single NYPD officer to care how they get punished.

I'm not even taking them at their word. I'm literally just repeating what is in the article for the people that seem to refuse to read it, despite it being posted in full twice in this thread.

What the union does after then win (or lose) the suit is a different story.

Quote me and tell me where I said they were being honest. All I was doing is parroting the information from the article, which states:

The PBAs lawsuit alleges the new protocol is illegal because it unilaterally revokes the 2011 standard without bargaining. The union says it is not challenging the prohibition on illegal steroid use.

That reads to me like, as of right now, they are not challenging the prohibition of illegal steroid use, they are challenging what the punishment should be.

I'm literally just repeating what's in the article. Everyone is within their rights to read through the lines and make their own judgements, but I'm just parroting what the article stated, because people seemed to have skipped it.

Its not about taking sides, its literally about reading comprehension, and how many CE users seem to not have it

Cops are not members of the labor movement. Their unions are not good

And no one should ever forget that they've played an active role in suppressing the labor movement on and off throughout the last century.

You mean medical necessity? because I've never heard of recreational steroids before

...really?

Tyranthraxus posted...
Bulking up is a legitimate medical use of steroids. It's not accepted in athletic associations but sports rules aren't the same thing as medical rules.

There is next to zero reason for a cop to be on steroids without an injury indicating it.

There's only one real reason a cop wants to roid up. And only one real reason why cops would oppose a policy that would require submitting a prescription. You should know better.

Tyranthraxus posted...
Just arrest them and charge them with unlawful possession of a schedule 3 controlled substance the same as you would any other criminal.

Feels like wishful thinking.

bigblu89 posted...
You cant be arrested for failing a drug test at your job.

If you're a cop using controlled substances... maybe you should be?

Police unions undermine the entire point of unions.

Their union just operates on a fundamentally different premise than any other labor union in the country.

For real, is bigblu really arguing that cops, those allegedly charged with upholding and enforcing the law, shouldn't be arrested if they were to piss hot for say heroin?
