I probably couldnt contribute anything to improve it. It really was a great conclusion to the 20 movie buildup.

This is where I am with it. I have nitpicks about the story here and there, but as a capstone to the infinity saga it was pretty amazingly done. It is kind of hard to believe they stuck the landing with only slight wobbles given the variables, but they really did.

Both were probably as good as it gets for a 2 part series.

Yeah I wouldn't call it perfect either but it was far more well done of a conclusion than I had hoped for.

Trying is the first step towards failure, so just dont give it a shot and you cant dissapoint.

I liked the team ups and the feels. I still wish Red Skull in that void place was better explained to me, I dunno maybe it was and I didn't pay attention. *shrug*

They were an ironically timed movie event for me in the middle of the past decade, four years after losing my father (who LOVED the whole MCU thing they were setting up) and right before the pandemic where we all experienced a blip of our own with friends and family. Some bittersweet films.

It wasn't really explained in detail but basically when the space stone ate him, it flung him off through the universe to the soul stone. Something something space magic. It's not really important so they don't go into detail. I actually really like the lack of hand holding in these. They had a lot of ground to cover and they trusted the audience to keep up.

Oh ok, ty ty. Lol yeah, I guess it didn't matter in the end and yeah him stopping the movie for a flash back would have been pretty lame.

Basically the Space Stone went "Man you fuckin' suck" when he grabbed it and exiled him to Vormir to guide others to the Soul Stone as a punishment, forcing him to do that and never be able to possess a stone himself.

Gotta be a real asshole for a semi-sentient rock to throw that punishment on you.

I've never quite understood this complaint tbh. Scott had already done the hard part by accident, Tony just figured out how to control it.
I don't mind that he solved it, just that it seemed he solved it overnight after going on about how difficult it would be.

they could have thrown in a scene with him sweating over it and indicated it might have taken weeks, or something.

One could argue he was waiting for the oppertune moment. We know he killed Ronan for the Power Stone, he took the Space Stone from Loki. Went to Knowhere to get the Reality Stone. Then took Gamora to Vormir for the Soul Stone. Fought Tony, Strange, the Guardians and Spiderman over Time Stone. And finally killed Vision for the Mind Stone.

In Endgame he sat on his ass waiting for either of his daughters to bring him the gauntlet.

You said he was waiting for the opportune moment and then just described the plot of Infinity War.

One could argue that waiting until the Avengers had done all the heavy lifting and then attacking with the full force of his army to get them all at once is also the opportune moment.

what? all I said was how I didn't like how it was portrayed as an overnight thing.

if they just had text on the bottom that said something like, "weeks later", it would have been more digestible, for me.

Oh, my bad, I hit the last unseen post and didn't realize there was a second page. I was responding to post 50.
